Description

Great vehicle. Smooth and quiet. Hybrid. 37-39 miles to the gallon on average. I keep it very clean. Please don't smoke in the car. Pets are welcome, but please clean up after them if they shed a lot of hair. I have seat covers, which I'm happy to have already installed on the back seats and in the very back if you'd like, to help keep it clean for the next person. I have DV plates (Disabled Veteran) so you can use most tollroads in the Houston area for free. You can use the I-10 tollroad, the 59 tollroad, and the Grand Parkway (SH99) tollroad, but you can't use the 290 tollroad unfortunately. If unsure, please review info at this link to find out exactly which ones you can use for free: https://www.txtag.org/en/about/faq_veteran.shtml. Because of the DV plates the City of Houston will allow you to park ON THE STREET for the maximum time allotted for that area without paying. This is for the City of Houston; it does not include parking garages or parking lots.

Guidelines

No smoking. Pets are welcome but please leave the car as clean as you received it. If you're bringing your dog, let me know so I can put the seat liners on the car seats and/or in the back cargo area to help keep the car clean for the next person. I will have the gas tank at full. Please simply return the car with a full gas tank.

Faqs

  • Can I bring my dog/cat?
You may bring any animal in my car, including kids and sloppy adults, so long as you leave the vehicle as clean as it was when you picked it up.
  • Can I park in downtown for free?
Yes, in certain spots. The City of Houston will allow vehicles with DV (Disabled Veteran) plates to park using street parking for the maximum time allotted for that area without paying. This is for the City of Houston; it does not include parking garages or parking lots. It includes street parking owned by the City of Houston only. You can't park for free indefinitely. If the sign indicates a 3-hour max, you must move the vehicle on or before that 3-hour mark.
  • Can I eat in your car?
I wish you wouldn't, but if you don't make a mess, I'll never know.
  • Can I use tollways for free?
Yes, most of them in Houston are free to disabled veterans. The exception is Highway 290. You can't ride the 290 tollroad for free, and I don't have a tollroad pass, so please do not get on the 290 tollroad, though 290 itself is fine. However, you can use the I-10 tollway, the tollway along 59 and the Grand Parkway (SH 99) tollway for free as many times as you'd like. More info here: https://www.txtag.org/en/about/faq_veteran.shtml.
  • Will you bring the car to me?
I have a $50 fee for airport deliveries. I prefer to get a ride home; it's otherwise not financially feasible for me to deliver the car to the airport. I live in the Heights; it's a very central location. In addition to airport deliveries, It's probable that I can bring the car to you somewhere in the Heights, Montrose, Museum District, Medical Center, or other centrally located part of Houston. However, I may need you to meet me halfway if you want me to bring the car a distance farther than 20 miles.
