Very disappointed that this is my first experience with TURO.
My trip was booked from 9/8/17 at 8:30AM to 9/11/17 at 8:30AM.
I received a text at 8:49 AM (19 minutes after the car should have already been dropped off) stating that ETA for drop-off would be 8:54 Am. The vehicle was not delivered until that time, nearly 30 minutes later than my estimated departure time, which made me late for my business meeting.
The car wreaked of smoke and the floors look like people have been putting their cigarettes out in the carpet. The air pressure warning light was also on at the time of delivery, which had me worried the entire trip about the tire pressure and whether or not they needed air. They should have been topped off prior to delivery. The guy who dropped the car off did not have a ride and so he was still standing outside my house waiting for his ride when I left my home.
The car was scheduled to be PICKED UP at 8:30 AM on 9/11/2017. The vehicle was not picked up until 10:30 AM! I had to take the morning OFF WORK to sit around and wait. No one called me. I finally messaged to find out what the problem was and I was asked if I had called a number.... there should not have been a need for me to call and chase anyone down for vehicle pickup as it had already been scheduled! There is absolutely no excuse for pickup to be TWO HOURS LATE with NO COMMUNICATION or apology!!!
I am requesting a full refund of the $70 delivery fee that I was charged as the vehicle was not delivered, nor was it picked up on time and caused MAJOR INCONVENIENCE to me. I didn't pay $70 to be late and miss work on top of everything else. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable! I will also seek a partial refund of the rental cost of the car as well due to the fact the air pressure was questionable during my trip and the car wreaked foul odor. Had I known the true condition of the vehicle (which is NOT PICTURED IN THE LISTING! The pictures in the listing show a clean vehicle without all the stains... it is completely nasty and I photographed ALL OF IT and documented in my trip photos. ) I would never have rented this vehicle!! Completely disappointed. I have requested full refund of the delivery cost plus partial refund of my trip fee due to the condition of the vehicle and misrepresentation of condition of the vehicle. If those fees are refunded, I will update the service portion of this review.
More speedy communication responses will be appreciated, otherwise no problems. Only issue was that I had to clean adhesive from three window stickers and I wish the car wouldn't have temporary license plates.
