This is an ELECTRIC car! It gets about 60 miles per charge. It can be charged up at sites around Austin for free - there are hundreds of "Level 2 chargers" around Austin, also free using a card with the car (look at Plugshare and Chargepoint apps for more info). And, it comes with a "Level 1 charger" you can plug in anywhere for slow trickle charging.
To be clear, this is not the hybrid "Rex" version of the i3, but rather the all electric "BEV" version. it is the Giga version, with navigation, heated seats, widescreen monitor, upgraded audio, and autopilot cruise control and parallel parking.

2014 BMW i3All-Electric BMW i31555
The owner cancelled this trip 2 days before it started. This message was automatically posted by Turo.
The car is exactly as described: a great new BMW i3. It's a pure electric, so you do have to take into account that it's suited for city travel and a bit beyond, but not for trips into the Texan outdoors.
A word of warning: Turo does not accurately indicate where the car is located. That is not downtown Austin, but several miles to the NE of the center. However, the owner was happy to meet me downtown for collection, and would have made arrangements to take me back upon return of the vehicle, if I wanted that, without extra charge.
