--- WINTER UPDATE ---
My vehicle is fully equipped with quality winter tires and weather tech floor mats for your convenience. Have peace of mind with the anti-slip floor mats. ---------------
Sporty black Mazda 3 with red stripes. One of the most aggressive cars you'll ever see and hear. Has a custom exhaust and engine upgrades which makes it perform like no other car in it's class.
18" glossy black rims and low profile performance tires only add to the already great look. Along with the gorgeous style, red LEDs illuminate the front grille at night which makes this ride an absolute head turner.
Includes tinted windows for privacy, automatic headlights, automatic rain sensing wipers, rapid air conditioning(no need to wait for the car to cool, let's cold air out instantly), heated seats, traction control, an upgraded audio system and subwoofer, navigation, touch screen, back-up camera, Bluetooth and all the nice features of a modern car while still being fuel efficient, thanks to Mazda's Skyactiv fuel technology, you can reach up to 700KM on a single fuel tank.

Awesome car amazing on gas Joseph is a great guy easy going and overall great person to deal with. I even extended my reservation. Car is regularly maintained and clean and the lights are just bad a$$. ThAnks Joseph
I deleted Joseph's messages, which I regret because it would have been the best way illustrate the situation without a slant. He accepted the offer and promptly sent me a message saying he accidentally hit the accept button when he meant to send a message. So the extra 50% I paid for delivery had been transferred out of my account, and he would not be delivering the vehicle. Refund? He said had no idea whether or not I could get a refund from Turo. So, I spent 40 bucks on an Uber to get to Gatineau to pick up the car on the promise he would deliver me to the Airport after the trip was over. Fast forward last day. I check with him at 11am to see if 4:30 will work for him and he texts back saying he can't take me. So I have to arrange getting from Gatineau back to the Ottawa airport myself. If I hadn't checked in on him I would certainly have missed my flight and if I didn't have extra time to make arrangements I would have missed my flight which would have had serious and expensive consequences due to my tight business schedule.
So, after taxis I paid 250% for big headaches...
Joseph was polite enough but I would not recommend renting from him. Irresponsible in a word.
This experience made me question whether Turo is worth the extra hassle...
I don’t know where to even begin, or end with this really bad experience.
It started out badly and ended badly nine days later.
And this was my first trip with Turo.
After I booked it and paid for it online, I get a message from owner the posted price was lower than what he wanted. Felt right away, I got the old bait-and-switch deal. Turo should never allow owners to do this. It’s dishonest to say the least. Since Turo didn’t refund my money until three days later, I ended up getting charged twice before I had even seen the car in person.
In the first deal, the car was to be delivered to Ottawa by 10 am, since the vehicle was in Gatineau, more than a ½ hour drive. By the time all the smoke cleared, I ended up taking an Uber at my cost where I was 3 hours late for the trip I had pre-planned.
Somewhere on day five, when I walked out to the car, one of the mud-flaps was lying under the wheel. It had simply fallen off, since it was most likely not installed properly. I put it in the back seat for the owner to deal with after the car was back.
Three days before I was to bring the car back, I come out to the car, and see the air was very low in the front tire. However, there was enough air in it to drive it the kilometer to the gas station. When I got to the gas station, to ask an attendant where the pump was, the tire still had air in it. In the 25’ from where I stopped, to the air pump the seal popped off, which I didn’t realize until I got to the pump. Ended up having to call Turo road-side assistance.
The first truck that showed up, attempted to try to change the tire, with his own jack, since the car itself was missing one. He was unable to remove the nuts because the rim needed an extension piece for the custom rims, which was also not in the vehicle. A second truck had to be called that had a bigger collection of tools that could get the flat off and replace it with the temporary tire.
Two hours later, I was finally on my way, but was restricted to roads travelling less than 80 kms an hour because of the temporary tire.
By the time I had to return the vehicle to the owner, I literally could not wait to just get rid of it. Eventhough the owner knew exactly what time I was coming, when I got there, he had a family member there instead to accept the keys. The individual was not pleasant to deal with, when I asked about the owner who I wanted to speak in person to. I could not get an Uber car to that location because it was so isolated, so I was stuck there until a taxi could be found.
It was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had renting vehicles. The car was badly maintained, and to really put the icing on the cake, the owner is now claiming damage to the car.
Zeus was incredibly responsive to messages, and was great to deal with. The car was very clean, looked mint, and smelled good. Great on gas, fun to drive, and definitely a head-turner, especially at night with the front red lights. The bumper sticker gets a decent amount of attention too. ;)
All in all, the experience, owner and car was 5-stars.
