Michael was a pleasure to deal with; quick to communicate and flexible with arrangements. No criticisms in the slightest, and it certainly didn't hurt that the car is a beast! I'll be looking him up next time we're in Philly for sure!
Probably the Cleanest car I've ever driven in. Every time I took the 4series out I felt like I've just driven off the lot. Michael was very cool and professional he actually drove the car to me!!. If I ever need to borrow some wheels again he will be the first person I would reach out to. Transaction was smooth and quick no extra fees nor hassle. Thanks mike!
This wasn't my best experience. The car was great and in working order, but the renter seemed a bit unfamiliar with how car rentals work.
You see, when I go to Hertz to rent a car, I reserve it, sign the paperwork, get the keys and bring the car back when the rental period ends. This experience was similar, though I was surprised when I received calls (Friday 9pm and again at Saturday 9am!), texts and Turo messages basically to confirm that I haven't "run off with the car." Weird, because my understanding was that "renting a car" is literally a pre-authorized version of "running off" with it, assuming it's returned on time, and in working order.
Not only was the car safe and sound (as a normal renter might expect), the car was delivered with extra gas and on time, yet I was threatened to have my rating affected for not "being responsive enough." Hertz doesn't call you to check on the car during the rental, they just let you enjoy the rental and give the car the necessary once over before and after the rental period. If the owner is so worried about the car after knowingly and willingly renting to someone with a good rating, I'd be better off with Hertz and he'd be better off with a LoJack.
I sincerely love using the app. I'll be sure to better vet renters in the future.
