I understand things happen and as long as we have ongoing contact and you are running late within a reasonable amount of time it will not apply late fees. Late fees will be applied once is determined you have violated Turo return policy.
Late fees are described on Turo fees and fines page, and begin to accrue the minute that the car is late. They are billed in increments of an hour (i.e., if the car is 15 minutes late, the renter is responsible for the first hour's late fee, and not 1/4 of that late fee). In the event of very substantial lateness, additional fines may be assessed.
ADDITIONAL MILEAGE FEES
Mileage is set and included for daily, weekly, and monthly trips. When requesting a trip, the traveler will see the included mileage for that trip. The traveler is responsible to pay for each mile driven over the stated included mileage.
Guests are responsible for replacing any gas used during the rental, using the appropriate fuel (i.e., regular, premium, or diesel). If a car has less gas at the trip end than it did at the start of the trip, I will contact Turo and submitting a request for reimbursement for the cost of gas.
Although I appreciate when a vehicle is returned in clean condition, I do not charge a cleaning fee to vehicles reflecting normal wear. In order to avoid cleaning charges my vehicle should be returned in the same condition it was rented in. If my car comes back “dirty,” there may be a cleaning fee charged to the rental. Cleaning fees varies.
This vehicle is considered non smoking rental car. Cleaning fees may be charged if a vehicle is returned in a condition where it needs to be cleaned and deodorized due to being smoked in.
Due to leather interior NO pets are allowed in this vehicle.

This was my first time using Turo and I am pretty disappointed and will go back to using rental car agencies in the future. The car was easy to pick up, near the airport, but we soon discovered that one of the rear doors did not open from the inside (could be a safety issue if my son in the back needed to get out in an emergency) Also, the car shuttered if we went over 60+ miles an hour. Both of these issues I communicated to the owner right after picking it up and got no response from him. If either of these happened with a rental car from an established agency, I would have traded it in for another car.
In addition, we had to get the car washed and cleaned before returning so as not to be charged more (which I found out the day before returning in a text message). And to get me more frustrated we got stuck in traffic when returning the car. I asked for an hour extension but did not know it would cost an additional $25 until I got my final receipt. Lesson learned that you get what you pay for, and then you have to pay more.
Eric's got a system and process down that works well for folks wanting to pick up a car at the airport. And very good communication/directions. I had no problems finding the car. I rented his 2005 Toyota Camry and while it's an older car, it worked well for a trip around Washington & Oregon. Being a non-smoker I noticed there was a slight cigarette smell when I turned on the a/c but it dissipated quickly. I would have no qualms renting this car again from Eric.
Car was clean and everything worked. It was in good condition, handled well, good power, good brakes. Pick up and drop off felt a bit non-standard, but in the end it was really equivalent to taking a shuttle bus to a rental company lot. I have no complaints and would gladly rent from Eric again.
Couldn't ask for a better experience than working with Eric. I needed a car for a very specific time frame as I proposed to my girlfriend on this trip from out of town and the car was prepared wonderfully, thank you Eric for a great experience.
This was my first experience with Turo and I am so glad I got Eric and his vehicle for that experience. The car is in great shape, gas mileage was fantastic and Eric responded immediately when I had a few general questions. 5 Star recommendation no doubt! Thanks Eric
