**** Below is a description of the LEAF from Nissan ****
The Nissan LEAF® is 100% electric. That means no gas. None. So forget about the cost of a gallon, and say hello to freedom from the pump. Because the only time you’ll be going to the gas station is whenever you need to put air in your tires. (You will receive my LEAF fully charged and with air in the tires)
The advanced lithium-ion battery powers the 100% electric drive system, giving the Nissan LEAF® the equivalent of 100 MPGe in the city.
Do you hear that? No? Good. Because you shouldn’t. Electric motors don’t make noise like internal combustion engines. They just perform like them. They don’t use traditional transmissions with numerous gears and ratios, either. It’s just stop or go. And in the Nissan LEAF®, go means go.
You’ve never driven anything like the Nissan LEAF®, and you’ve probably never felt anything like its instant torque. The power is there when you touch the pedal. There is no lag, no revving-up or shifting gears, it just goes.

Very nice car! Thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the navigation system and backup camera. Am considering buying a LEAF, and so it was nice to have one to drive for a day. Will recommend to others!
The car is fully electric and in excellent condition. I used it for a trip to Newport from Portland. The vehicle gets between 80-100 miles on a full charge in town, but long distance freeway driving, especially over steep terrain, will drain the battery pretty quick. Between Portland and Newport I had to stop to charge twice. Luckily there is a pretty extensive network of DC Fast Charge stations across Oregon.
Overall, I really enjoyed the ride but would warn future renters to plan on charging somewhat frequently for long distance trips (specifically trips that have you crossing mountain ranges).
