Enjoy the open road in this 1990 Mazda Miata convertible.
This light-weight, rear wheel drive car has custom sport suspension so it handles even better than it did from the factory. The soft top is showing it's age, but there is a hard top too for when the weather is less than perfect. 129,000 and well maintained so you don't have to worry. There is an audio input and an upgraded stereo so you can enjoy your own music even with the top down. A roll bar has been installed, just in case disaster strikes. Four cylinder engine isn't super fast, but it gets the job done while getting around 30 MPG. This car has a 5 speed manual transmission, so please only rent if you are comfortable driving a stick. Cruise control works great, but there is no power steering or air conditioning.
The Miata is regarded as one of best sports cars ever built. Take it for a trip to the coast, or any of the other beautiful drives around the Pacific Northwest.
Phil is phenomenal! Phil was super easy going and his car was more than amazing. I saw a post that it was slightly pricy for a '90 vehicle, but this is no regular vehicle. This car is sporty. What do I mean by that? Well, you will have to see for yourself! Not only is Phil a Miata enthusiast, he has his Miata set up for enjoying the road, feeling the turns, and overall having a blast. Its really the perfect price as I know there has been a lot of time poured into building it and being able to appreciate the Miata as a rarity rather than a commodity. You won't see many cars with such class. I would definitely rent again, specially if you have the option in the summer with the top down. Anyways, my trip was incredibly enjoyable and thanks to Phil, I have an option when I'm back in town.
Philip was super easy to work with and the car was great! While driving it, a guy with a 10 year newer Miata commented that his paint doesn't look as good after a fresh wax as this car does. After driving it for 3 days, I want to buy one :-)
