Due to PDX rules and regulations in addition to flight delays, cancelations, flying standby, weather, high peek travel ect.
I DO close airport delivery with remote access pick up. (Airport delivery WILL be charge due to location of car pick up been in airport area.)
The car will be ready for pick up at the Mt. Hood MAX stop. To get there is a simple and quick 5 minute ride on the MAX rail from the airport to the very first stop. The car will be about 20 ft away at clear site.

I understand things happen and as long as we have ongoing contact and you are running late within a reasonable amount of time it will not apply late fees. Late fees will be applied once is determined you have violated Turo return policy.
Late fees are described on Turo fees and fines page, and begin to accrue the minute that the car is late. They are billed in increments of an hour (i.e., if the car is 15 minutes late, the renter is responsible for the first hour's late fee, and not 1/4 of that late fee). In the event of very substantial lateness, additional fines may be assessed.
ADDITIONAL MILEAGE FEES
Mileage is set and included for daily, weekly, and monthly trips. When requesting a trip, the traveler will see the included mileage for that trip. The traveler is responsible to pay for each mile driven over the stated included mileage.
Guests are responsible for replacing any gas used during the rental, using the appropriate fuel (i.e., regular, premium, or diesel). If a car has less gas at the trip end than it did at the start of the trip, I will contact Turo and submitting a request for reimbursement for the cost of gas.
Although I appreciate when a vehicle is returned in clean condition, I do not charge a cleaning fee to vehicles reflecting normal wear. In order to avoid cleaning charges my vehicle should be returned in the same condition it was rented in. If my car comes back “dirty,” there may be a cleaning fee charged to the rental. Cleaning fees varies.
This vehicle is considered non smoking rental car. Cleaning fees may be charged if a vehicle is returned in a condition where it needs to be cleaned and deodorized due to being smoked in.
Due to allergies NO pets are allowed in this vehicle.

This was my first time using Turo and I was skeptical but Eric made everything go very smoothly and great! Although the check engine light was on (Hunday accent) I had no problems with the car at all, I drove to cannon beach from Portland, OR. and it barely used ANY gas, it was great! Would recommend! and would definitely use again!
This was my first Turo ride and it will probably be my last. I wish I had just spent a few extra dollars/day and rented from an established rental company. Here is why:
- After reserving Eric's car, and paying for the $50 airport drop-off fee, I received a message that the car will not be dropped at and picked up from the airport. I was given instructions to take MAX (rail) to the first stop where the car was parked in a strip mall lot. This wasn't a huge inconvenience, but did cost $2.50/person each way ($15 total since there were three of us), and I felt cheated that this wasn't communicated up-front.
- I had to send Eric a photo of my drivers license and a selfie of my face that included my license. Since this was never communicated to me by Turo (and I had already submitted my license to Turo) this made me uncomfortable. He is not a corporation but a private citizen. Why does he need a photo of my me and of my license?
- Eric communicated the day before return that the car had to be washed and vacuumed to avoid cleaning-fee. Again, this had not been communicated up-front, and also isn't included in Turo's rules.
- The Hyundai Accent was clean and ran OK, but the tires were completely bald (no treads), the check engine light was on the entire time, and the engine would shudder when stopped with the engine running. I kept worrying it would shut off on me. They key also didn't have central lock and did not open the back doors, which we had to open from the inside If I had been assigned this car by an established rental company I would have requested another car instead.
I called Turo for clarification. They informed me Eric cannot charge the $50 drop-off fee if he doesn't actually drop off at the airport (they refunded me the fee), and he cannot require me to wash/vacuum unless it is dirtier than when picked up. If the car is roughly in the same condition, no wash/vacuum is necessary.

Eric is quite professional about the renting. He will respond to questions. This car was just what I wanted, small, with A/C. Overall a positive experience. There were a couple of slight drawbacks. The requirement to have the car washed was not specified till the night before return. Similarly, the confirmation required that I message a photo of myself and drivers license, and since this was not requested until the night prior to travel, my location on the east coast made this 2:00 AM.
Finally, a warning light appeared on the dashboard during the trip. It eventually cleared by itself but I trust Eric will have the issue fully inspected.
Still, a positive experience and worth the effort.
Eric P is a careful, cautious, and punctual renter. His car was professionally cleaned and had a full tank of fuel. The car is newer and ran beautifully after a minor mechanical issue that was easily fixed. Great mileage, too. He is an honorable man of his word, because he really cares. Highly recommend!
The car was great for a rental. One thing to know ahead of time is that you have to individually lock and unlock each door. Eric was very prompt with responding. The only thing is that the car was down the road at a different location when we picked it up.
Eric's car was wonderful to use. I would have rented it longer if it wasn't already booked out. It's no frills (i.e. manual windows and locks), but great if you just need something to get around. It's conveniently located close to Beaverton Station and Eric was flexible about the pickup time. Eric was also easy to communicate with and he answered all of my questions promptly. The trunk was a bit sandy, maybe from a previous renter but that wasn't an issue for me.
