My first adventure with Turo might be my last. Although my car was easy to access and easy to return, and a friendly renter, the car was filthy!. I don't just mean a little bit of vacuuming needed, I mean years of grime and dirt, just gross to me. I am a busy professional woman who dresses up daily and I hated even sitting in the car. I didn't feel comfortable with any part of the inside. As soon as I got it, I contacted my mechanic (working on my lovely clean Buick Lucerne) to please get it repaired quickly so I could return this car. He did and I had the car back a full 24 hours ahead of schedule. But UNLIKE with a regular rental agency, you don't get any refund for bringing it back early. I ended up paying $114 for a car for 36 hours that would have cost me $90 with an agency AND been super clean. I think Turo needs to check out these cars a little better. The reason I gave it three stars instead of one was because the owner was friendly and accommodating and the actually process of using Turo was pretty painless. My first rental cancelled but other than that, the company has a good concept. Renter Beware.
