Now that we have that out of the way :)
My name is Darin and my goal is to make your trip to PHL airport as easy as possible!
Simple drop off! Just send me your flight info before you arrive, I'll check your flight status and meet you at baggage claim at whichever terminal you land at. Best of all? Unlike other Turo hosts I don't need a ride back! We'll go over the car quickly, I can answer any questions you have and you're on your way to start your business trip, vacation ect.
Drop off is just as easy. Just drive up to the departures part of the terminal, I'll be there waiting and we quickly inspect the car. If all is in order, off you go to your flight home. It can't be any easier.
It comes with a standardized J1772 charging port which allows you to charge from your standard 110v home outlet or a high speed level2 charger that you may find around town. It takes 3 hours for a complete charge on the level2 and about 12 to 18 hours on 110v home outlet.
I highly recommend you download the PlugShare app to find high speed charging stations.
Best of all you can find free places to charge almost everywhere, Philly, South Jersey, KOP, Bucks County ect. Almost all Whole Foods Markets have free high speed chargers as well as Ford and Nissan car dealers. Blink and ChargePoint are the two largest providers in this area and you can find free charge units frequently.
Other than that it's a normal Ford Focus with leather, Sync3 and a bunch of other goodies.
Overall this is a very fun car to drive.
Airport Pickup/Drop off - I can meet you at baggage claim (terminal A[west/east], B, C, D, E or F) in PHL. The car will be 80+% charged to give you 60 miles of range. For drop off I can meet you at your departures terminal and I do not require the card to be fully charged, anything over 20% is fine.

Excellent vehicle, the actual battery performance is about 60 miles, since you should consider consumption for traffic or accessories of the vehicle and AC, so if you do not have some point of recharge at your destination you can only move about 30 miles to ensure the Return trip I recommend validating the quick recharge points that are around your lodging point and sites to visit. The App Charge point can help you with that.
Darin was great! Super flexible and kept me in the loop regarding pick up and delivery. We were super rude and made him meet us at 6am on a Saturday, which he did, with no complaints! Loved the car. Loved the electric aspect. We will definitely be renting from him again in the future.
The owner is a great person, so cooperative and kind. The car is a really great experience, it just makes you feel that you are doing something great to our world!. Really nice car to have if you need it for close by trips, in the same area where you live. And if you need it for trips that exceed 10miles distance, it's really not the car you should look for. I didn't have my own place that i can charge it at overnight, so i had a real difficult time looking for chargers. The most reliable chargers are Blink EV chargers, they are well distributed however, they charge about 10$ to fill the car's battery, which lasts for only 76miles (without air-condition) with AC it dramatically drops to about 64miles. Time needed for to charge is at least 3 to 4 hours minimum for a fast charger. If you are a calm person, with so much love to nature, and your day is not stressful and busy, this car is totally a great option, otherwise, I really do not recommend it for the inconvenience and unpractical style. For me I have to drive 20 miles to work, so by the time i come back, battery is about to die, so i have to look for a charger which in my case was blink (10$ for 3-4hours) so It also did not safe any money for me. Yes there are free chargers but they are either too slow, or you will be afraid of violating someone's property and the anxiety associated with that, (imagine going to BMW at night to charge your Ford car, or in front of someone's house) and you don't know what will happen after and you just feel this stress till you get your car filled.
Thanx turo, and thanx Darin for the nice, unforgettable experience.
Renting from Darin was wonderful! The car itself was very neat and easy to use and charge, considering I've never driven a fully electric car before. Darin was very flexible in regard to car pick up each way, and very easy to get in touch with, responding promptly to any questions or concerns I had. A great guy to rent from! I'd definitely rent from Darin again and recommend that others do so as well.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A PURELY ELECTRIC CAR ! I did not know this until I met up with Darin to get the keys. Was certainly a new experience. It was GREATTTT to not have to pay 1 dime in gas money for the week I was renting it, but if you are looking to drive long distances, drive fast, or do not have a way to plug it up from your house overnight (which was my case), renting this car could be a REAL inconvenience for you. I did have a lot of stress and anxiety having to find outlets around town to charge and get where I needed to go. 1 full charge is about 60-70 miles which does not last long. I spent hours at Whole Foods or at random car dealers or parking lots trying to get enough charge just to go home (& plan enough for whatever I had to do the next day). It takes forever to charge, which is why Darin suggests to plug it up overnight at home (which I couldn't do). Also, the trunk doesn't have much space, & it was often difficult to start. Overall, it definitely got the job done. It made me even consider getting an electric car in the future (especially since it's great for the environment). Just wish I would've been prepared to accommodate such a different type of vehicle. That's why I'm writing this long review so you will be aware! Lastly, Darin was a great guy! Truly! He was very accommodating and answered all the questions I had promptly. =)
