I tried renting the smart car for a long weekend. (Friday- Sun). Shortly after getting to location for pick up, was met & quickly handed the car keys over. I took a look around the car before getting in & realized car truck was not able to open. After a few minutes trying to open, came to conclusion that it was not going to open.. (should have known then to cancel reservation.) The owner then insisted that it was the only issue the car had. I began driving and noticed an ! mark on the left side by tire signal less than an hour into the drive (mind you 6-7 miles away from pick up location.) I then called owner and explained my frustration as I was hoping for a weekend long getaway, but got 6 miles away with more issues. After my call, the owner suggested I try and use the tire pump located in car to give more air in back tire which at the time seemed very low. After a few tries, called the owner back up and let him know it's unsafe for me to continue the drive. He then just sent the phone number to Turo to resolve. Mind you, this is now 1.5 hours into me getting car!!! Not only way my full weekend ruined- I now need to follow up with Turo and owner to receive reimbursement for full weekend service that wasn't delivered. Also might be good to add that there was little to no gas given to me at start of trip. Truly unprofessional and unsafe!
The car was super fun to drive and VERY good on gas. You don't realize how small the car is until you're out of it. VERY spacious seating and trunk space for a smart car. Cameron was extremely communicative and friendly and made be experience very pleasant and convenient. I'll definitely be renting again.
The car was great and comfortable for two. Cameron was flexible and kind I have extended it for one more day as it felt great while driving it around. Definitely recommending for others!! Nice doing business with you sir
