Great car for a weekend trip. Drove it 1.5 hours the first day, 3 hours the second day and 3 hours the final day. Held up nicely and there were no issues with how the car ran the entire time. Communication was phenomenal and ease of pickup couldn't have been better! I recommend for sure.
I can't give one star because I can't pretend for a second that it wasn't absolutely lovely driving around in a red convertible. And the engine is new so the car actually runs quite well. That said.....
I picked up the car and a headlight was out and there was no gas in the tank. I paid to replace the headlight. Then I was driving and I got PULLED OVER BY THE COPS because THE REGISTRATION EXPIRED.
So I called Turo to make them aware of the situation. They tried to contact Talha but he didn't reply for 2 days. So I was stuck, needing to travel, on July 4, with a car with expired registration.
Turo said I could return the car and be reimbursed for the unfinished time, but it was July 4 and I already checked my options -- there were none, so I bit the bullet and decided to make the drive.
I bit the bullet and drove from NJ to MA. I was getting ready to leave MA at the end of the trip when the check engine light came on. So I had to stop my trip AGAIN, run the car's diagnostics (ON MY DIME), tend to the issue (which was ultimately minor but still scary and time-consuming) and pay for 2 gallons of oil and fill it myself.
I kept Talha and Turo updated every step of the way of this disappointing trip.
So needless to say, this experience was tumultuous and frustrating and expensive. But the car itself is in good condition, especially considering its age.
But, I'm very disappointed by Talha's elusiveness and Turo's lack of ownership of renting a car to me with expired registration.
