The 2012 Mazda 3 hatchback is a really fun car to drive. It's very sporty, nice stiff suspension, very agile handling. And being a manual makes it all the more compelling for folks who like to drive zippy cars. Zoom Zoom, baby.
The car is perfect, so much fun to drive, well maintained and clean. They made pickup and drop off super easy. If you're coming from the city they are under a 10 min walk from the path station. I would definitely rent from them again; it was a great experience!
I was really sad when Turo was outlawed in New York. Fortunately, the business is alive in well just across the Hudson! However, don't let Jersey City's relative proximity fool you. I learned the hard way and probably kept the Janoos family wondering if I was going to show up (when I finally did arrive they welcomed me warmly!). Just a warning to those inexperienced in PATH train commuting: it's a different beast. It's kind of like the G train, but cleaner! Plan extra time when going to New Jersey.
The car is in great shape as listed. Clean, sporty, standard transmission. Super comfortable ride. My girlfriend and I took it out for a half a day for an apple picking excursion upstate. Firdaus offered us the convenience of his EZ Pass for tolls, which I gladly accepted (who wants to wait in traffic lines?). It was my intention to keep track of the tolls along the way and leave him cash upon returning the car, but I found that difficult while driving - some of the tolls didn't have amount posted or did perhaps but I had already rolled by. As a back-up, Firdaus checked his EZ Pass statement and I reimbursed him via PayPal.
Overall it was a positive experience. Highly recommended!
