My mother in law has come out of physical rehab and will only be driving her car two days a week or so for the next couple of months. We know her car is not the flashiest car around. It's white, but a considerable amount of paint has peeled, and it plays cassette tapes. We just bought a new radio antenna, so the radio works pretty well now! Courtesy of one of our favorite renters, we have a converter that will play your MP3s and a charger for your phone and GPS.
The sound system is actually pretty good! I have an eclectic selection of country music, Peter Paul and Mary, Blessid Union Of Souls, Pearl Jam and lots of country music cassette tapes in there for you to listen to now! :).
It's been lived in and loved, but it is sturdy, reliable and a very comfortable 4 door car with soft, cloth seats, power windows and power door locks. We've rented it out six times, and everyone has gotten attached to our car. If you grew up as a teenager in the 90's, it will bring back warm nostalgic feelings of your first car.
Most of my renters are NYC folks coming in for the weekend. I live a few miles away from the Willowbrook Mall in Wayne, NJ which has an express bus (I think it's the 194 and the 197) that comes in from Port Authority. From NYC, it's about a 20 minute ride. I meet my renters at the bus stop there to hand off the keys which seems to work out well. At the end of your trip, you can return the car there, lock it with the keys inside, and leave it in the same well lit, safe mall parking lot before you return home on the bus.
I also hand off a free vegetarian bagged lunch to my renters along with an envelope of New Jersey fast food and casual dining restaurants for you to use on your trip.
Thank you, and happy motoring!
