  • Are you flexible with gas, mileage, time? Why do you limit your miles to 100 daily.
Gas is NOT included, so be considerate and return with same amount of gas as when you checked in. To keep my rental rate low, I limit the number of miles to reduce wear and tear. If you need a car to drive the east coast, please look elsewhere as I only rent my car on weekends and it is my personal vehicle, not an extra car. A few miles over isn't a big deal 5 or 10, I also understand traffic and issues arise. Please contact me to let me know if you will be late and an ETA and I can work with that.
  • What if I damage your car? I've read owners sometimes take advantage of renters for cleaning or small damage.
Turo places the responsibility on you and your insurance company, even if you purchase their supplemental insurance (i've read not to rely on Turo insurance). It's a good idea to check with your insurance company if your covered with Turo (most reputable companies will cover you); but your credit card probably won't. I'm not looking to get rich off renting out my car. I rent my car out to help me with ownership expenses. I don't care about small scratches, but this is my personal vehicle and I ask people to be respectful. If its damaged, I'm a reasonable person and we can work that out. I don't expect you to vacuum it out and take to car wash, just keep it neat and remove your trash.
  • How do I get to your house? Can you drop off? Can I leave my car
I have a 5 year old and work, so unfortunately I don't have time to drive all over the triangle dropping off my car and then trying to get home. Most of my customers get here via Lyft or Uber, approximately $25 from RDU or 40$ cab. Renters are welcome to hang out in my yard (I have chairs) or house if I'm home and the weather is unpleasant. You are welcome to leave your car here during your travel in my car.
  • I have a question not listed.
email me at danielkashdan at google or text at 267-231-8190
  • What if you aren't there when I pick up/ drop of
I leave the key in the glove compartment, take a selfie holding up your drivers license and text it to me. I'll check you in. If you want to drop off the car early, remove your items and trash, place the key in the glove compartment, and hit the manual lock button and close the door. Voila. I have cameras around the house
