Do I need to charge the car?
Nope! You'll save on gas if you choose to charge, so it is recommended. The car is also a lot quieter (nearly silent) when in EV mode.
Which gear should I drive in?
Fun question! Forward directions are D and L. They're actually both the same 'gear' as this car doesn't really have selectable gear ratios. The only difference is that L provides aggressive regenerative braking when the accelerator is released. For maximum control, choose L. For an experience more like a gas car, choose D.
Bonus: If you're the type to switch between R and D while the car is still in motion, that's fine.
How do I refuel the car?
The fuel door button is just above the charge connector cover button. After you press the fuel door release button, the driver's display will show "Wait to refuel", then "Ready to refuel". Press the fuel door (behind the rear passenger side door), then open the fuel door.
Does this car have a 'go faster' button?
Yes. Mash the "drive mode" button twice to throw it into Sport. Enjoy the extra torque!
Does this car have any cool party tricks?
If you like numbers, there's a cool power display on the driver's display. Use the rotary knob to the left of the steering wheel to find it. There's a fancy looking energy display without all the numbers for the main display. Use the leaf button on the center stack to find it.
How do I charge the car?
There is a portable charger in the back under the cargo floor. That plugs into any standard outlet and will charge the car over night. For faster charging during the day, use any public charging station. The connector on the car is just in front of the driver's door. The button to open the connector cover is in the driver's door just below the mirror controls.
