How do I charge the Roadster?
Car has a J1772 connector, a NEMA 5-15 connector, and a Roadster to Tesla converter that allows you to charge at a Tesla wall connector installed by many hotels. This car has NO SUPERCHARGING capability, however.
Is there an age limit to rent this car?
Unfortunately there is. Turo imposes a 30-year-old age limit for this car (see https://support.turo.com/hc/en-us/articles/204496224-Are-there-age-restrictions-for-certain-vehicles- )
How much does charging cost?
Non-Tesla commercial charging stations vary in price. Some are free while others can charge up to $10 for 30 minutes. I recommend downloading the PlugShare app for your smartphone or visiting http://plugshare.com PlugShare has information on all charging stations including locations and costs.
Can I have additional drivers?
Absolutely! There is no charge for additional drivers, but additional drivers must complete the registration and approval process with Turo, and be noted in the rental notes for the car. Can I eat or smoke in the car?
No. I try to preserve the luxury for others, and that includes keeping the car smelling fresh. Smoking or eating in the car is not allowed. A steep cleaning fee of $500 will be assessed for smoke and $250 for food smells.
How full does the battery need to be when I return the car?
The battery should have at least 50% charge when returned.
How far can I drive with a full battery?
Your range depends upon how you drive (heavy foot?), the terrain (lots of hills, head wind, etc.), the outside temperature (super cold or hot weather gives shorter range), just like a gasoline or diesel-powered car. The maximum range for this car is about 180 miles, but your range may vary from that up or down.
