The car comes with a level 1 charger which might take up to 16 hours to fully charge from empty. At level 2 the car might take up to six hours to fully charge from empty .
At level 3 cars can charge up to 80% in as low as 30 minutes ( my car is not capable of level 3 charging as this feature costs around $2000 more )
Very smooth, very strong with over 300 of torque leathery seats. This is a fully electric car that doesn't use any gas , the Car can go as far 85 -90 miles with a full charge. You're not required to return the car fully charged !!!!!
No smoking If you need to eat in in the car be careful not to make any spills or you might be charge for any cleaning.
I can't say enough good things about Carlos. He was very pleasant and easy to deal with, quick in responding to text messages, and clear in communication. When I arrived for pickup he greeted me, showed me the car and explained a few things I needed to know about electric vehicles. It's a very nice car - clean, comfortable, and fun to drive. As if all that wasn't enough, Carlos was patient and understanding with me when I was late in returning the car. Like, really late. Like, 12.5 hours late, on a work night.
That brings me to the subject of the car, which as noted is fully electric. It has a limited range (~82 miles on a full charge) so it's best suited for running errands around town. It's not really that great for leaving town. If you drive any significant distance at all you have to carefully plan ahead about how you're going to keep it charged, and your plan should allow lots of room for error. If you get lost or stuck in a traffic jam for a long time, you may end up running out of juice and being stranded by the side of the road. Also, sometimes charging stations are out of order, so you have to make sure to leave enough juice left to drive to another one. The car includes a 110v plug, and it takes a long time (12+ hours?) to charge fully using that. You can also plug it into an L2 charging station, which will charge it 2-3x faster. You can locate those charging stations online and at many car dealerships, but again, be aware that you will sometimes find them out of order or closed during certain hours.
In my case, I thought I'd be fine given the advertised range of the car, so I wasn't as careful as I should have been about not running it down. Then, I charged it for 3.5 hours and was surprised when it still didn't have enough capacity to make the return trip. I ran down the battery again, driving between charging stations that I couldn't get to work. To make a very long story short, I ended up unexpectedly spending the night in Hagerstown and returning the car 12.5 hours later than planned.
It was all a series of dumb decisions on my part - none of which were Carlos's fault. As I said, he was great to deal with and also very patient with me when I ended up getting stuck in Hagerstown overnight. Considering that and the fact that the car is in great shape, I am rating this five stars. I would rent this car from Carlos again, but I would definitely make sure to be much more careful about the range limitations and charging time.
