E-ZPass (http://www.mass.gov/ezpassma) is included with the car. Please leave CASH in the glove compartment for any tolls incurred at end of trip or if uncertain the total amount of TOLL money please leave more than enough to cover tolls. I would suggest documenting the toll amount and reporting it to Turo so they can add the toll amount to the trip. Failure to pay full TOLL Amount will result in additional fees. IF YOU DO NOT WISH to use the E-ZPass I can also remove the transponder before your trip.
Smoking, pets, eating, are NOT allowed inside the car. Renter is responsible for a minimum $200 cleaning fee if violated.
Baisong made this trip really easy, he was there to meet us at the airport and presented a well looked after car that was easy to drive. Even though we had to change the departure time and date on a couple of occasions due to the winter storm in Boston he was super responsive and accommodating. I would highly recommend renting from Baisong.
We had a great trip in the Mazda over Thanksgiving break. Baisong was really helpful with pick-up and drop-off and helping us book last minute when another renter cancelled. His car was great, very clean, and had GPS and phone charger included. No issues with the car. Picked up and dropped off with a full tank of gas in Cambridge. Excellent renter and reliable vehicle!
GREAT rental! Would definitely rent from Baisong again. He was always very quick to respond, super considerate and helpful for meet ups/drop offs. The car was clean and ready for the trip with a few added electronics that made the trip twice as enjoyable. This was our first time using Turo and we honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend.
Baisong is awesome, and he made every attempt to make pick-up and drop-off easy. It'd be an easy 5-star experience except for the fact that the brakes were seriously messed up, with warped rotors that made the whole car shake whenever the brakes were applied. (Baisong offered to take the car back, and refund me the cost, but I didn't have the luxury of time to take him up on the offer.) He immediately went in to get the brakes fixed after I returned the car, and I'm sure it's fine. So I would recommend Baisong and his Mazda, even if my own experience was very much less than optimal.
I am AMAZED!! Listen, I even worked for a major rental car company right here in Boston Logan Airport. Wow! It was my first experience ever using Turo. The cars I found using this website can be had for on par pricing, or even less money than my employee discount! Fully price without my employee discount code, for the same dates I rented were between $292 and $303! The total cost of this with all taxes, fees and insurance was $100!!
Baisong was very polite. Very quick to respond, and overall just great; terrific!
Here's what's funny. I brought my own accessories to keep my phone charged, mount GPS on the wind shield, plug in an AUX cable, but all of that stuff was already included with the car, and I didn't even know it. Hidden right in the center arm rest compartment. My company would charge about an extra $15 per day just for that. $7 with my employee discount, but with Baisong, it was free!
No long lines of waiting like what a normal customer may go through at our airport on weekends plus Monday's. Once I arrived on location, I was able to pick up the keys in under 25 seconds, and properly return them even faster than that. Wow.
What a great first experience. I definitely would rent this car again. Very nice with the V6 engine.
The car was excellent. I definitely recommend it. Baisong was very helpful and understanding. I accidentally took the "Fastlane" on one of the tolls, and communicating this to Baisong could not have been easier. Great car and great owner.
RECOMMENDED. As many previous comments have indicated, this car is easy to ride, great sound system, convenient location for pickup and return. If you want to get a car in Boston, this is the one to take.
I also take a few minutes to look for the car when pickup in the parking lot. The text of “start” to unlock doesn’t work for me, so I call RelayRide and get unlock very quick. Other than that, the journey with the car is very nice. One hint to the future rider, when you press the car remote control button, one click is open driver side door, double click will unlock the rest of the doors. Enjoy your ride.
Baisong's Ballin Buggy was a dream. A great car for a great price, and located conveniently near Lechmere station. Super clean, decent mileage, and a great sound system. I look forward to renting this car again.
Baisong's Ballin Buggy is definitely recommended. Fun to drive, enjoyed the sound system, and the GPS was extremely helpful. We had one issue with the GPS not identifying a bridge in Rhode Island, but I think it was a recently built bridge. Would use this car again for sure.
The car has zip and is fun to drive, though one pays for it in fuel efficiency. I got less than 20 miles per gallon on the highway. Note (for anyone sensitive to this sort of thing) that there is a noticeable smell of smoke in the cab. The protocols for pick-up and drop-off are more explicit than any other Turo car I've driven. This was the first time I was required to leave a gas receipt in the car, for instance. But at least the instructions were clear enough to follow.
RECOMMENDED! Easy to drive, awesome that you don't have to look for parking when returning, conveniently located near lechmere green line stop, nice to have GPS. // TIPS: lot is a large open area surrounded by a low chainlink fence; pedestrian entrance is at SE corner of Northpoint and Leighton, car entrance/exit on Leighton at Glassworks, car was found/returned to corner opposite of pedestrian entrance (not sure if the norm); GPS isn't "smart" enough to change completely different routes, so cancel and restart once you're somewhat on your preferred route; its a "sports" automatic, so make sure you drive on D, not M; fuel tank is on left side.
The car is very clean and smooth to drive. Was a little hard to find (it's in a lot next to a large apartment complex), but the gate card located in the sun visor for the private lot makes it super easy to park when you return. Thumbs up!
This car was great. Parked just a few blocks from the Lechmere T station (green Line). Easy to find, just enter the address in your smart phone and the parking lot is in the very corner, very obvious and easy to find.
I was a first time user of RealyRides, so here's a few tips for those like me using this car specifically.
- Make sure you found Baisong's car ( it has a Turo sticker in the back windshield). There was another car exactly like his parked in the same lot.
_ Turo will send you a text message close to the start time of your reservation. At the time scheduled ( not a minute before that) you will reply to their text message with the word " Start" and the car will unlock. In my case it did not unlock right away, so I called Turo and they unlocked for me.
-Upon return of the car once you are done, you get out of the car, and text the word " End" and the car will be locked.
- This is such a nice car and such a good deal, please be kind and replace the gas consumed.
The car is in amazing shape, and was so easy to use. Re: The parking lot where it's located, just be sure to read all of the directions. once you see the lot it makes perfect sense, but it may take a minute to see. But no complaints. It was great!
