READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY. There are specifics regarding the car and 9 points you HAVE to agree to when you book the car. Write that you agree in your message to me when you book the car that way I know you read and agree to them all.
Trusted by over 927 renters on Turo ! Cruise the island top down in my 4-seater Mitsubishi Eclipse convertible. Minor rattles and squeaks as is normal for a 12 year old convertible. Leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather seats, power windows/locks/mirrors, and cruise control. Stock Infiniti CD sound system sounds great. Remote with key. Anti-lock brakes (ABS), fog lights, and chrome wheels. My Eclipse also has a great six-speaker stereo six-disc CD changer / MP3 sound system. Bluetooth MP3 Player Adapter. It allows you to charge (via usb), play music (via bluetooth or aux converted into an FM station), and make hands-free calls from your cell phone. It does NOT come with the Aux cord NOR the USB charging cable. If you damage or lose it, it will cost you $25. Car has a small trunk due to the convertible system. It is 12 years old so does have minor rattles and squeaks. Standard safety equipment includes ABS, front airbags, front side-impact airbags and front-seat side curtain airbags. The 4 cylinder motor gets great gas mileage. EPA city/highway fuel economy: 20/28.
Point #1 - Air conditioning currently leaks into the cabin so do not use it. It is chilly right now in Hawaii anyway and you won't be needing it.
Point #2 - I have a limited number of Garmin GPS units available. It will cost $10 for the whole trip and has to be paid for in cash upon return. Damaged or lost units will cost you $120. Please specify when booking.
Point #3 - If you book delivery and drop off at the airport and you are NOT ready to be picked up within 30 minutes of your booked time, you will need to pick up the vehicle at 1425 Ward Avenue unless we make other arrangements BEFORE you land. Whether I pick you up from the airport or from your location, I DO need to be driven back to 1425 Ward Avenue (or somewhere equivalent in mileage and time) after. On return, you will pick me up from 1425 Ward Avenue and I will drive you back to where you need to go (airport or within 10 miles as booked). You cannot just leave the car at the airport. If you do NOT book pick up and drop off when you book the trip and if I am available to drive you to your destination, I will match or beat Uber or Lyft's pricing for the trip.
Point #4 - Turo offers free roadside assistance 24/7. Towing, lock out service, jump starts, tire changes, etc. For mechanical issues which affect the safety or drivability of the vehicle, I have over 20 cars and will offer another car (unless they are all rented out) if the issue cannot be resolved within 3 hours by my full-time mobile mechanic. If another vehicle is not available, You will get the rest of that trip refunded to you.
Point #5 - Please return the car washed and vacuumed. If you are unable to, there will be a $30 cleaning fee ($14.29 for me to wait an hour to an hour and a half at McKinley Car Wash and $15.71 for the car wash and vacuum itself. I suggest McKinley Car Wash at 1139 Kapiolani Boulevard, Honolulu, HI 96814 because it is the cheapest and closest car wash to my house that does a somewhat decent job. The other one next to it is absolutely terrible which is why they have no one getting their car washed there. LOL. McKinley usually stops taking cars at 5:45pm.
Point #6 - Please return the car with the same amount of gas or the difference will be charged to you through Turo.
Point #7 - NO EARLY PICKUPS or late returns. Turo only insures my vehicle (and whatever it hits) DURING the rental period. Early in my Turo career, I released a car to a renter 5 minutes early and he got into an accident 7 minutes later. Turo told me NEVER to do that again as my personal insurance would have had to cover the crash if the rental period had not started.
Point #8 - No smoking or pets whatsoever. No speeding or racing and watch where you park. Tickets will be charged to you via Turo even if the ticket comes to me 6 months later. There will be court fees and collection fees on top of the cost of the ticket because I was not there in court when it came up (If you did not tell me about the ticket or pay it off before it got to that point). Also, cars get towed a LOT in Waikiki and typical tow fees are $150 and tickets are $70. If you get towed, I will need to go down to the tow yard because it's registered to me and it's a hassle. I will charge a $30 fee to get the car out of tow (for driving probably at some unreasonable hour in the middle of the night or in rush hour traffic, waiting in line, you paying and them processing the payment, waiting some more, and driving home after).
Point #9 - No off-roading whatsoever (Gravel roads, sand, mud, red dirt areas, etc.) unless you are renting my Jeep Wrangler 4x4 (in which case it is ok to drive on sand and gravel but not go rock climbing or mudding).
