This is the new Wagon Queen Family Truckster. This is a damn fine automobile.
Draped in metallic pea, wrapped in luxurious imitation wood panelling and sporting 8 headlights. If you want my honest opinion, it beats the hell out of the Sports Wagon.
I owe it to myself to tell you, that if you're thinking of taking the tribe cross country, this is the automobile you should be using -- the Wagon Queen Family Truckster. You think you hate it now, but just wait until you drive it!
We are the Griswolds (for real), and I have been hearing jokes all my life but love the National Lampoon Vacation movies. So we decided to create our own Griswold Truckster so we can take the kids on some awesome road trips.
The car was built from a 1984 LTD Ford Country Squire and we even drove TEN days across America to the spots in the National Lampoons Vacation Movie in our Wagon Queen Family Truckster. Our final stop on our road trip was at “Walley World” to ride the Colossus wooden roller coaster one last time.
We created the Wagon Queen Family Truckster so we could share those great road trips we all took as kids across America with our two kids. Six months later we had our Truckster and our two kids in the way-back seats enjoying the view. We set out to explore unique road side attractions and nostalgic motels and always found so much more as we met new friends as we traveled across America.
Ironically we own a Mom and Pop travel agency, Pixie Vacations. We don't plan road trips but love to help families, groups, and individuals with their own vacation adventures. If you are looking for a family Summer vacation to Walt Disney World, a cruise vacation, a romantic All-Inclusive tropical resort, or even a wedding or honeymoon, we are happy to book and plan your next vacation.
