Here are the facts regarding the customer service, so you decide:
I initially booked this car from Sunday 3/5/2017 to Sunday 3/12/2017. Sunday 3/5/2017 evening, prior to picking up the car, the vendor called and spoke to me several times.
I live in Alpharetta, the car was in Lawrenceville. He was about an hour late to meet us to deliver the car when I showed up to pick up the car. Initial pickup on the reservation was 5:00pm, after some delay I was able to pick up the car after 6:30pm
It so happened that I was able to return the car early on Saturday. This vendor refused to refund the $40 unused rental time. I had no problem with this, $40 won't make or break anyone AND he had the right to refuse to modify the rental terms.
However I tried to contact him via text, phone call and via the app to explain that I just needed the lockbox code to drop off the key securely. My friend brought me to drop off the car on Saturday. I was going to leave the car and ride home to Alpharetta in my friend's car. We hadn't eaten all day and I did not want to have to drive back out to Lawrenceville the next day just to drop off the key.
Again, the $40 was not the issue, I just did not want to have to make an unnecessary trip to Lawrenceville the next day.
I explained all this to him through the app and via texts (I can provide screen shots), but this vendor refused to respond to me, other than denying the refund. Because he denied the refund I know he saw my attempts to reach him to get the lockbox code to drop off the key.
I eventually gave up and left at 3pm after waiting around for about 45 minutes.
Around 9:50pm, he called me and texted me asking where the key was. I was surprised that he was asking for the key, since he had refused to let me end the rental early.
My rental period did not end till 6pm Sunday 3/12/17. He refused to allow me to end the rental on Saturday afternoon. However Saturday night at 9:50pm and Sunday afternoon at 2pm, he was demanding his key.
I informed him that since he insisted that I stick to the original terms (which he had the right to do), I would return the key at 6pm on Sunday, which I did.
I rented the car with a half tank of gas and returned it close to a full tank.
Again, I'll leave you to form your conclusions regarding the customer service. The car however gave me no problems.
