How far can I drive on a full charge?
Approx. 85 miles on a full charge. This can vary based on temperature and if the heat/AC is running.
This car doesn't take gas, how does it work?
The Nissan Leaf is 100% electric and runs off battery power.
How long does it take to charge from empty to completely charged?
There are 3 ways to charge.
The car comes w/ the 110V trickle charge cable which takes about 21 hours from 0 to 100%
Level 2 charging stations(220V) charges from 0 to 80% in about 2.5 hours, and to 100% in 4 hours.
Fast charging stations(480V) charges from 0 to 80% in about 20 minutes.
How do I charge the car?
Simple. There's a release for the port very similar to a gas tank. You'll open the hatch and plug the car in. That's it.
Where can I charge?
The trickle charge cable will plug into any standard power outlet.
There are many fee-based Level 2 charging stations located throughout Atlanta(Atlantic Station, Krog Street Market, Ponce City Market)
Nissan dealerships have both Level 2 and Fast Charging Stations available at their dealerships for free.
I'd suggest installing ChargePoint on your smart phone to make it easy to find charging stations and plan your trips accordingly.
What happens if the car runs out of battery?
Just like gas, if you run out of charge you'll need to get the car towed to the nearest charging station. This is the responsibility of the renter.
