Michelle's Mercedes was great fun to drive especially along Hwy A1A at the beach. Michelle was very good to work with. We did a lot of communication through the Turo app. She handled things very quickly and efficiently. Even offered me a deal on 2 extra days. Thanks Michelle!
First things first, she'll give you a bunch of pricy terms *after* you already rent the car. Don't wash it before return? That's $40. The car was mechanically and functionally great, and overall in decent shape. However, it didn't have the wheels show in the listing picture, instead they were spraypainted black. The interior was fine, not wildly clean but I wouldn't call it dirty. Car had nearly 100k miles on it but drove fine, then started to shake at around 70mph. Car was returned exactly as I had picked it up, and I've just now received a notification that Michelle is claiming damages. Avoid this woman, deal with a lower-volume person who actually cares about their car and their client.
Completely astonished on how I was treated with this. I paid for this rental and was scheduled to pick it up this morning at 7 a.m. because I was taking a red-eye from San Diego to Florida. Back Story....Unfortunately last night at the gate the flight was overbooked and therefore I had to spend a good hour and a half 12am (California time) on the phone with the airline trying to figure out my flight. Was able to get a flight for tonight at the same time Landing tomorrow at the same time and at that point I was going to take the car I didn't cancel the reservation I just simply didn't make it there in time because I was home in California asleep 3 hours behind Florida for a 7 a.m. pickup.
Regardless I wake up I see a email that my car was cancelled and I'm only getting a refund of $32 when the grand total was well over 300.. this is the part that gets me when I get on the phone with Michelle she acts concerned about my situation and says she's going to call Turo herself and see what we can do about me getting the car for tomorrow morning at the same time since the trip has been cancelled. Well I didn't hear anything for about a good hour and I decided to put in a request to turo about the trip in return they let me know that the owner at their discretion said the car was no longer allowed to be rented. So this lady acted concerned said she was going to contact turo herself to help me out and then lied and said the car can be rented I would assume that way she could pocket the money and rear-end the car over 4th of July weekend. This lady is a liar and obviously needs money desperately enough to take it from other people.
