I live 6 miles from the airport about 15$ Uber ride, it's cheaper for you to come to my location using Uber, turo deduct 25% of my delivery fee as a commission and I have to use uber to come back and if you are delayed extra parking fees may apply. If you want to avoid paying a delivery fee you can book without selecting delivery and pick up the car at my location, it's about 10 min drive from the airport.
How do Tolls Work? There is a toll transponder on the car. Use it by simply taking a FL tollroad and take the SunPass/EZ-Pass lanes. -The transponder can also be used to enter/exit airport parking lots (MCO/SFB for example) without tickets. -Any tolls incurred during your trip will be requested at the end of your trip via app. Simply take the on tollroads. - There’s a flat one-time $5 convenience fee that will be added to any amount used during a trip; - You will get a discount from the posted rates and save time especially during peak times :) -Do NOT bring your own mobile toll transponder/ pay coins/cash as you will be double-charged.
2010 Ford Fusion2010 Ford Fusion154.537
My boyfriend and I rented the Ford Fusion from Ana, from the very beginning there were problems. When we first arrived in Florida we were told we could pick up the car at 9 am. We didn't end up getting the car till almost 11 am because it was in the shop for an hour and a half. Then once finally getting the car almost every time we could come to a stop and then proceed to accelerate, it would make an awful noise. But I thought as long as it gets us from point a to point b it was fine. Needless to say it didn't stop there. A few days into our trip we went to one of the parks, came out to the car and it wouldn't start, luckily the second time it started it up. Then about two days later we were at our hotel trying to start the car and it wouldn't start. We tried about 20 times to start it and nothing. So we contacted Ana which told us to call her husband, which we did and he had no clue why it wouldn't start. So basically we now didn't have a car which we had payed a lot of money for. He offered to bring us a new car at midnight that we could have for the rest of the trip. We agreed to meet at midnight, especially because we had a meeting at 8:30 the next morning. We used an uber to get around for the rest of the night. Well we texted her husband back and forth planning to meet him at 12. Then he proceeds to tell us he's tired and can't meet us until the next morning. Keep in mind we payed for a service from them and also told them we had a meeting in the morning but they didn't care. We waited up until midnight but no one showed until the next morning around 9. So we got a Mercedes convertible. Cool it was an upgrade so we agreed to take it for the rest of the trip. We put the top down for a bit and then decided to put the top back up; oil started pouring out of the corner of the car where the top meets the door. It got all over the seats, both our clothes and I had a puddle of it in my hands until we got to a parking lot to pull over. Needless to say it was beyond annoying. It happened the rest of the trip, we had to keep napkins in the car so it wouldn't go all over us and the car. So when the trip was over I get a text saying we are being charged $20 for gas and $20 for tolls. Ok I can understand $20 for tolls but $20 for gas? I mean hell the ford had to be towed away because it wouldn't start. Now how was I supposed to put gas in a car that wouldn't start. And we only had the Mercedes for 2 days. Which we didn't even use 1/4 of a tank of gas. Instead of being nice and not charging us these extra charges for all the shit we put up with they make us pay an extra $40. I would not recommend renting cars from Ana, their cars are junk.
First time using Turo and probably never will again. Car engine light turned on within 5 minutes of driving and alert for oil change was already flashing when we picked up the car. The car drive very rough and had brown paint lines everywhere from the back seats to the trunk and exterior of car had tons of dings and scratches from bumper to bumper from previous drivers. Drivers arm rest had lots of cracking in the leather. Pick up and drop of process was much harder than just taking it in to an Avis.
Car was located in a convenient location but was picked up with only a quarter tank of gas. It drove really rough and we had to put air in the tires as the tire pressure gauge kept coming on. Very spacious car and not bad on gas.
