READ BEFORE YOU RENT PLEASE!! I am a big fan of Toyota's so that's the good thing about. The experience with renting isn't worth it. I've rented with "Karina" twice and both times were difficult.
First Rental was the 2017 Chevy Cruze ($30 a day) and the car itself was amazing! Drove beautifully, new car smell, clean literally only 6000 miles was on the car. The car was delivered to my apartment complex, by her "agent" Yosnai who at first seemed like an "ok guy". The car was delivered in the rain (it rained basically the whole weekend, 3 day rental) Yosnai literally handed me the keys while standing in the rain. After he handed me the keys he waited for an uber and was on his way. The problem arose when it came time to return the car my rental agreement was from 9:30AM Friday to 12PM Monday afternoon. Karina started blowing up my phone with messages saying her agent was there to pick up the car (30-40 minutes early). Honestly annoyed, I reinformed her that my rental wasn't complete until 12pm. Your "agent" showed up early that's not on me it's on him. Politely taking my time to get back home because I paid my money and I wanted every minute. I pulled up to my apartment and Yosnai was standing there with an attitude. I had a few things in the car (my kids carseats). My husband was riding with me so he hopped out and grabbed the carseats, apparently his housekeys slipped out of his pocket . I handed Yosnai the carkeys and he didn't even acknowledge my presence instead he drove the car into a parking space and started taking pictures. Extremely rude!! He went through the entire car in my parking lot and took my husbands keys. When my husband realized he had misplaced them I informed Karina WHO WAS NO HELP WHATSOEVER. She gave me Yosnai phone number and an address to go pick my keys up. Yosnai basically kidnapped my housekeys and was an ***hole. I had to catch an uber to get keys he found within 2 minutes of going through the car. Then after all that Karina/Yosnai tried to scam me saying I returned to car back dirty and they wanted $10.95 for a carwash. Apparently I was supposed to stop mud/water from splashing on the car in the rain while trying to return it. My money was taken out of my account and I had to write Turo in order for it to be refunded.
SECOND RENTAL Toyota, Camry 3 day rental Friday5:30pm to Monday 12pm
This car was disgusting on the inside! The inside as well as the outside was DIRTY. Cupholders were full of residue from beverages, seats were dusty, the entire outside of the car was dirty. I took pictures of everything in order to protect myself because these people are bad business. I only rented with them a second time because it was last minute and there was literally nothing else available on Turo except SUV's that were starting at $50 and I was not trying to spend that much for a weekend rental. Going against my better judgement I rented the car. I paid my money for the vehicle to be delivered to my location only for that information to be switched to a pickup. So I was pissed! I requested a trip modification and Karina denied it! Telling me some BS about her punk*** agent like I care after he just stole my husbands housekeys. Again I really needed a vehicle so I was cool 😎. Took the uber and Im met by this same MF and he's acting like we (me and my husband) have all the time in the world. We got there a little after 5:40pm and had to wait for him to show up in another car to give us the keys. Then had to wait on him to take his pictures of the car. He takes pictures of the outside and the inside. Mind you the car was pretty much filthy. I already knew they were going to try and get me so I drove around the corner and took my own pictures. And submitted until Turo wouldn't allow me to submit anymore. Birds pooped on the car while it was in my possession so I got an exterior car wash only and then submitted the receipt. DO WHAT'S GOOD FOR YOU I WAS TRYING TO BE CHEAP AND GOT A DIRTY CAR, LESSON THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS RUN. RUN FAR AWAY!! !! !! 🏃 🏃 🏃
Scam! Do not let the other positive reviews fool you like they fooled me! Our trip began with the car being dropped over an hour late leaving us to sit at the airport and delaying our vacation. We were continually lied to during this time period with the driver dropping off telling us "only 5 minutes away ". The reason we were given for the car being dropped late was that the check engine light came on and it had to be taken to the shop to have the oil changed. This did not sit well with our group as we were concerned the entire trip that there was possibly something mechanical that was wrong with the car. The car looked the same as the picture but smelled TERRIBLE on the inside. There were also scratches on the body. Please be sure to take your OWN photos of the interior and exterior!!! This was my first and definitely last Turo trip and I did not realized the need to document the cats drop off and pick up condition until I was scammed!
On the final day of the rental we were told to drop the car in the parking garage at the airport and place the key "on top of the drivers side front tire," On the way to drop the car the tire pressure light on the dash came on so I stopped to have the pressure checked. All tires had normal pressure but the light remained on. My own vehicle does this from time to time when there is a outside temp change. I returned the car to the garage and left the keys as I was told to do at 530 am.
Later that day, I received a request for reimbursement for $15 for a flat tire from Karina. I declined due to the fact that all tire pressure was normal at drop off and suggested she have her tire censor checked. Shortly after I declined this request for payment, I received noticed that the claim for a flat tire was retracted. I then received notice that there was a scratch on the tire rim and a hold for $500 was being taken out on my credit card. After was all said and done I've been charged @ $350 in addition to the rental charges for a scratch on the tire rim that was on the car when I picked up. Turo support claims that they have photo editing software that allows them to view details of the pre trip photo of the rim and post trip photo of the rim. The photos prior to the trip do not clearly show the rim nor did support take into account the owner requested the car be left in a public parking garage with the key at drop off. Turo support is an advocate for the car owner and not the consumer renting the car. Karina is a scam artists. Do not be fooled by the low rental price! Go to a national car rental chain and save yourself time and money!

Great experience! The car was spotlessly clean and really sharp- wish I could get one of my own ;) the whole experience with Karina was very professional and friendly. I heard back about my request for the car almost immediately (less than an hour I think). Communication for pickup and drop off was immediate- no long wait when texting or calling. Overall great first experience with Turo- definitely recommend Karina!
