Scam! Do not let the other positive reviews fool you like they fooled me! Our trip began with the car being dropped over an hour late leaving us to sit at the airport and delaying our vacation. We were continually lied to during this time period with the driver dropping off telling us "only 5 minutes away ". The reason we were given for the car being dropped late was that the check engine light came on and it had to be taken to the shop to have the oil changed. This did not sit well with our group as we were concerned the entire trip that there was possibly something mechanical that was wrong with the car. The car looked the same as the picture but smelled TERRIBLE on the inside. There were also scratches on the body. Please be sure to take your OWN photos of the interior and exterior!!! This was my first and definitely last Turo trip and I did not realized the need to document the cats drop off and pick up condition until I was scammed!
On the final day of the rental we were told to drop the car in the parking garage at the airport and place the key "on top of the drivers side front tire," On the way to drop the car the tire pressure light on the dash came on so I stopped to have the pressure checked. All tires had normal pressure but the light remained on. My own vehicle does this from time to time when there is a outside temp change. I returned the car to the garage and left the keys as I was told to do at 530 am.
Later that day, I received a request for reimbursement for $15 for a flat tire from Karina. I declined due to the fact that all tire pressure was normal at drop off and suggested she have her tire censor checked. Shortly after I declined this request for payment, I received noticed that the claim for a flat tire was retracted. I then received notice that there was a scratch on the tire rim and a hold for $500 was being taken out on my credit card. After was all said and done I've been charged @ $350 in addition to the rental charges for a scratch on the tire rim that was on the car when I picked up. Turo support claims that they have photo editing software that allows them to view details of the pre trip photo of the rim and post trip photo of the rim. The photos prior to the trip do not clearly show the rim nor did support take into account the owner requested the car be left in a public parking garage with the key at drop off. Turo support is an advocate for the car owner and not the consumer renting the car. Karina is a scam artists. Do not be fooled by the low rental price! Go to a national car rental chain and save yourself time and money!

Great experience! The car was spotlessly clean and really sharp- wish I could get one of my own ;) the whole experience with Karina was very professional and friendly. I heard back about my request for the car almost immediately (less than an hour I think). Communication for pickup and drop off was immediate- no long wait when texting or calling. Overall great first experience with Turo- definitely recommend Karina!
