This was absolutely the WORST experience I've ever had in renting a car, around the world, period. I tried to excuse this guy, but it was terrible. Not sure how many reasons you'll need NOT to rent from this guy, but here is a list. He has a fleet of JUNK cars. I had to rent a car for a week. He first gave me a Cadillac Catera.
1) I land in Palm Beach airport, he's not there to greet me or take me to the vehicle. He's got it parked somewhere in the airport and I have to hunt it down. I finally find it, turn it on, car's belt is ruined and making more noise than a bulldozer at work.
2) Car ruins in 2 days. Engine light on. Belt ruined, car has a really hard time turning left... clearly it's been involved in a recent car accident prior to me renting it. I was driving with windows down and the roof tarp came undone. The break lights weren't working either. I ask to trade it out. John Kaminski tells me I have an attitude and insists car is ok because "it hasn't left me stranded." WOW man!!! Finally get him to agree to change the car. He makes me drive over 25 miles to switch out the car that he shouldn't haven't been renting out in the first place. And he knew the car was not good as he confesses that he had ordered a belt for it right before renting it to me and that belt will arrive from the mechanic any day now; he just didn't think it would be an issue. When switching out the terrible Cadillac Catera, he assured me the second car would be coming straight from the mechanic and have no problems but he delayed me 2 days during witch i was not using the Catera and had to take cabs and Uber. The second car (Passat) was filthy with dog hairs that would not come out even AFTER I vacuumed it, and i'm allergic to dogs. So I toughen up and get some Benadryl. I drive the Passat for 1 day and that check engine light goes on in this one! I am in disbelief at this point, this is like a bad movie. I call him, he tells me I need to drive it more carefully. That my pushing the car made the light go on! I informed him at 9p.m that the check engine light went on and the car was having problems. in the morning he said he doesn't have cars for me and that i should return it and rent somewhere else. Not a solution as I have to go to work. He stopped communicating via text and started writing his messages on the Turo site instead, documenting and acting like a totally nice guy on the site, but a terrible person in text (that I still have) and on the phone. Being that i am here for work and every day is scheduled - i don't have the luxury of returning or renting from somewhere else, plus, I went on Relay to save money! He tells me I need to either turn the car back in (without having another car for me to get from him) or go do a free diagnostic test at a mechanic so that I can tell him what's wrong with his car! I have neither the time nor the luxury to do this. I'm in FL. working.
The Passat would stutter and the engine would cut out every time I took exit ramps. Caused me to have some dangerous moments on the road unnecessarily.
Kaminski gave me a bad review as a renter, so now he gets a true review from a customer. Not sure who else gave him positive reviews, maybe his cousins. Or they might have gotten cars that weren't lemons, filthy and in terrible shape.
So my friends, rent from him and get a lemon at your OWN RISK. Don't say I didn't kindly warn you first. Good day.

John was very accomidating when I needed a couple of extra days. The pickup and return were effortless. I would rent again from Turo. It is a great service and the value is wonderful.
What made the usage of John's car perfect is the ease of communication with John. He responded quickly and the drop off, pick process was spot on. I would recommend using his auto's and will when we come back to Fort Lauderdale.
This car was a great value, nothing fancy but it runs well, has good power, smooth to drive. I was very impressed by how hassle free the experience was. John and his team were punctual, friendly, and very accommodating!
