This is a Dark Metallic Grey 2012 Subaru WRX Sti Limited Sedan. It has a manual 6-speed transmission, is turbo charged, and a very fun to drive sport rally car. It has heated leather seats, an auxiliary port and wire so you can plug in your own music, has a sun roof, is 4-door with a roomy backseat and full size trunk. I have also tinted the windows with 5% tint, so you have almost complete privacy.
**WINTER RENTAL INFO**
I keep snow tires on the car in the winter (Oct - Mar) and it handles unbelievably well with the combination of the snow (not simply all-weather) tires and AWD. That said, I keep performance tires on it during the summer, and they handle TERRIBLY in the snow, so if you're planning to rent in spring or fall and want the snow tires on it for a trip to the mountains, check to make sure I haven't already swapped them out. I'll be happy to leave them on longer for a rental if need be. In addition to the AWD and snow tires, you can electronically adjust how much differential there is between the 4 wheels, allowing you to "lock" the 4 wheels to varying degrees in the event of especially slick conditions (think crawling out of an icy driveway that's slightly uphill). You can also electronically adjust the sensitivity of the throttle, which allows for a very sporty feel in good conditions, or a more fuel efficient option that is also better for driving in snowy weather. I keep a ski rack on it in the winter months that can hold up to 6 pairs of skis or 4 boards or a combination of the two. The rack will be on the car when you rent it during winter months, regardless of whether you want to use it or not.
**PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING IN ITS ENTIRETY BEFORE REQUESTING TO RENT**
I rent out my Sti out to qualified drivers that I am confident have extensive experience with manual transmissions. In order to rent the car, you must have owned a car with a manual transmission in the last year.
**Please include your car ownership history (make, model, year, transmission type, and number of gears for current vehicle owned and any others owned in the last year) in your INITIAL request.**
**Transportation from Airport**
There is public transportation consisting of 2 buses that runs to/from my apartment and costs $9 per person, per trip. The total commute time, using the public transportation, will take about an hour and a half (each way). You can find route options using the public transportation feature of Google Maps. You can also get a cab for about $65 each way from the airport to my apartment. Turo will not let me offer airport pickup through their site, as I am not an approved driver (a few too many speeding tickets). That said, contact me directly (text is generally best) and I will be happy to negotiate picking you up for a reasonable fee (but this transaction will not be covered by Turo terms of service).
I look forward to doing business with you!
