2015 White Honda Civic - as of this listing it has just over 25,000 miles! This is a great alternative to larger, more expensive rentals and is still a spacious and comfortable vehicle. It is a great car to have while on vacation - it gets great gas mileage, is very reliable and easy to maintain, and still manages to have enough space to store travel items comfortably.
If you are coming in from the airport - Turo takes the hassle out of airport travel and car rentals. After you get your baggage at baggage claim, go down one floor to passenger pickup (4th floor). This is where I will meet you or have an Uber take you directly to the vehicle. This is included free of charge for rentals over 3 days.
Note: For after hours check-in or last minute schedule changes, I will request an Uber for your party - just call me so I can arrange it once you arrive at passenger pickup. I also may need to arrange an Uber for you if I am unable to make the date you request (when I am on vacation). I will then explain check in procedure once you have arrived at the vehicle.
The car drop off location is the same place as pickup and there is an airport shuttle that runs frequently to take you back to DIA. If for some reason the shuttle service is not running or is inconvenient, I can also arrange an Uber back to DIA for you as a backup plan of events.
Please note: this car does not go over Vail Pass (west of Vail, CO). Also, it does not go over the Eisenhower tunnel pass (just before Silverthorne) during the winter months (Dec 15 through Feb 15), so most ski destinations are not allowed.
Be sure to park the car on Yampa Street, and not in any hotel parking areas.

Our car was late being dropped off by the previous renters, but Eben was great at communicating with us and helping us get to where we needed to go. The car was great and ran really well. He even had included a phone charging cable and aux cable that we could use in the car for our phones. All in all, it was a wonderful trip!
It was my first time using this app and got to say I loved it. The car was clean and he was super flexible considering my flight was delayed TWICE. The car was in great condition . Eben was very helpful and always responded quickly to my questions. Definitely renting again if I go back to Colorado soon!
Eben has a great car with plenty of zip and superb gas mileage. Our flight got into Denver a bit early so we needed to wait to get to the car. When we returned the car we did so a little bit earlier than my estimated and time so we needed to find our own transportation to the terminal. I wouldn't hesitate to use Eben's car again, but I would put down an earlier arrival and an earlier departure. Live and learn.
I don't want to write this negative review, but I think my experience is worth telling. I'll start by saying I have rented from him previously, and I believe I wrote a very positive review. I decided to rent from him again because it was such a good experience. I booked a 5 day trip. (Note: this is very long. If you don't have the patience, skip to the last paragraph).
So, when we got to the car, it was extremely dirty on the outside and inside. There was dirt everywhere on the outside and some from (I assume) the feet of the previous renters. This was the first red flag. I was actually on the phone with Eben when we found the car, and told him the cars condition. To be honest, I thought nothing of it. After all, he cannot control the other renter's poor choices, and he seemed genuinely concerned upon mentioning it. So I let it slide. I washed the car last time, so I didn't see anything wrong with washing it again. It was just dirt, and the car was driving fine.
We drove to our destination with no problems. Everything was going great in fact. On Day 4 of our trip, it snowed about 4-5 inches of snow. When we were leaving our location, the car failed get up a semi-steep hill and began to slide back. Again, this wasn't a big deal. We got out and pushed the car after failing to get up the hill with car power alone. It was then we discovered the car had summer tires on it. It was January 16th. It was also at this point we noticed the tire pressure light came on. Needless to say, this was definitely going to be a problem, but AGAIN I didn't think too much of it. I was just going to be careful. Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans. We got on the highway to go to another location and we were sliding everywhere. It was clearly not a safe ride at this point because in addition to the tires, we noticed the windshield wipers were not doing their job. We had to use wiper fluid to get them to wipe anything because the snow was smearing. Shortly after starting this, the wiper fluid ran out, so we had to buy some for the car. It was inconvenient, and at this point, I was running out of reasons to give him the benefit of the doubt, but I did anyway.
That same day we realized we were going to go over our mileage. I asked him if there was any way we could buy more miles or work out a deal of some sort. I wasn't sure if there was a way Turo could provide that, so I asked. He said sure and to keep it to a minimum.
The next day we returned the car. We ended up being 10 minutes late because we washed the dirty car we received. After renting with him previously, we met at a certain place, so I assumed we'd meet at the same place. I had forgotten the new place where we picked the car up, and since there was no address for this new place, I asked if we were meeting at the old location. He said it was fine, and there is a car wash near the spot that I took the car to on a previous trip. So, we take the car there and the car wash is closed. At this point we have about 30 minutes to return the car, so we let him know we are leaving to another location. Unfortunately, this spot was 15 minutes away. So, we drove there, washed the car, and returned as fast as possible. However, we returned 10 minutes late. We got all of our stuff out and we were expecting him to give us or get us a ride to the airport, even though there was no communication as to if this was happening or not. I just assumed since it was the procedure last time, it would be the same. Instead, he took the keys and banned us from renting from him, and threatened to call the cops if we didn't leave immediately. He cited being late, so I was assuming this was the reason. Shocked, I asked if he was serious because it just sounded ridiculous to me. We had been communicating just fine and all of the sudden he was throwing this on us. He said he was dead serious, so I asked why and tried to explain myself, but he stonewalled me and rolled up his window. Still shocked, I tried to get his attention and he rolled down his window to yell at us saying get away from the car. "Keep walking". We walked away from the car, stranded in the parking lot and called an Uber.
Now, I feel like I am a reasonable person. If he would have initiated and ended with a healthy, mature approach, we could have resolved whatever was bothering him. However, he provided no communication prior to his outburst. I reached out to him before writing this review with the intention of understanding why that happening and resolving the conflict. He told me he truly believed we were racking up "bargaining chips" in order to haggle with him about lowering the additional mileage price. He also told me he feared if we didn't receive compensation, we would bring damage to his car or not wash it or some other passive aggressive move. I then explained myself and the miscommunication, highlighting that I would never intentionally damage someone's car as payback or "bargain" with him if that wasn't a possibility. It was a huge message, probably longer than this one, to which he did not respond until I asked if he got it a day or so later. He then responded by saying he clearly misunderstood and mischaracterized us, but that he doesn't have time in his schedule to write messages. Yet, he had plenty of time to write an entire children's story dedicated to retelling and, quite literally, belittling my experience. I will share it with you now:
"Vincent - I am really impressed by you taking so much time out of your day to write so much detail and I have decided to show you a similar courtesy, however I really don't have time in my schedule to write messages, my apologies. I get it, I have clearly mischaracterized and misunderstood, I understand all that. Nonetheless I really just don't have time to respond to messages. However, I have crafted for you a children's fairy tale!
In a mythical land there was a tradeswoman who made "creations". In her land she was respected for craftsmanship, and could have worked in a business which paid her fair wage, bought her materials, and marked them up 20% and sold them.
She decided to use an app to market her "creations" - a community "sharing" app - and she went and bought her materials for 10 florins and made a creation. The app priced her creation at 10 florins and a traveler came to town and wanted to buy it! Also they requested that she ship it to them.
Hmmmm... she thought. 10 florins minus 10 florins plus shipping... well whatever, she decided to ship it!
They wrote to her and told her it had some issues and they needed to buy more materials for it, also she should probably pay them for those bits of material. Also they deemed it heavy and dangerous and possibly damaging property around them as they transported it, which laws in that time actually held her accountable for. In addition, they feared it may fall on their child and kill him, which also laws of the time held her accountable for.
She wrote them and said, "Please, I will cover the cost of shipping if you just send it back to me." "No, that's quite all right." They said. "We can make do."
She hired a knight, traveled to them and physically grabbed her creation from them, and told them that she felt they were better suited to buy creations from the businesses as opposed to using "sharing communities".
They became enraged, and got together a group to shut her listing down! She laughed and was very relieved that she no longer had to make her creations for people who had requested them in advance, and didn't think too much about it.
One day the travelers realized they needed some creations, and went to businesses to buy them but wished they still had a listing in the app for creations. They were forced to pay a much higher cost, plus a 20% markup, and became more enraged. The tradeswoman was hired by the businesses who had a sudden increase in demand, and she bought a very expensive plot of land on the countryside where she lived happily ever after."
After that, I had to laugh. I mean, he's definitely creative!
Bottom line (if you stuck around this far), if you rent from Eben, you will receive excellent service. But if anything goes wrong, he will probably make rash assumptions and not handle it in a mature way. And it is for that, and only that, I am rating my experience as poor.
The car was clean and ran great throughout our trip! Great gas mileage of course and we had no problem going over some snow/ice. Eben was easy to reach and made the process very easy, would rent again!
Eben was AWESOME to work with. Extremely professional and the car was such a gas saver. We even had an initial hiccup with arriving to pickup the car with a flat tire. Eben quickly came to the rescue and saved the day.
The car was a super smooth ride and did I mention such a GAS SAVER. We drove to the mountains and back several times and we spent pennies on gas. Eben also provides an AUX chord and super long phone charger that really came in handy.
The only tip I would give is you absolutely need chains with this car in the winter. It did the job. But there were some close calls in the snowy mountains that could have easily been avoided if the car had chains. But this was a user error not car error. The car is perfection! Just not the ideal car for the winter mountain goer.
Nonetheless, I will definitely be using Eben's services again!
Eben made sure I got from the airport to the car without any issue and then back to the airport after the trip. The car worked great and got me excellent mpg. His responses to my messages and texts were very timely.
I went with Eben because of the ratings he had and sure enough no one was lying. He was a very easy person to communicate with since the beginning. Car ran great! It had a full tank when we got it and we barely used half of it for the four days that we had it. Really recommended Eben!
Communication with Eben was excellent. A very easy person to speak with and was easy to get instructions from. Getting to the car was a little bit of a hassle with the lack of Ubers near the airport. Other than the car being a little dirty, it ran great and got wonderful gas mileage. Would definitely rent from Eben again!
The car was great with no problems. Eben communicated well. The pickup and dropoff at the airport was slightly awkward, but that appears to be more due to complications on the airport side of things rather than the owner. Overall it went well and was a good value compared to regular rental companies.
After some misunderstanding about car pick-up, Eben worked with us to make arrangements to get us to the car, and we were extremely appreciative. The car was clean, had great gas mileage and was easy to drive. Eben was great to work with and very easy going. If ever in the area again, I would certainly use this car and work with Eben again.
Eben was great! He met me at the airport right on time and was very kind and casual about the whole trip. It was my first time using Turo, so the entire experience put me at ease and the Honda Civic worked out perfectly! Whenever I'm back in Denver, I'll be sure to book again. Thanks so much, Eben :)
Eben is the man. We asked for a ride from and to the airport, and he was happy to oblige. The car was fantastic. The low mileage is very apparent as it was a smooth ride from start to finish. The car got great mpg; I drove about 400 miles before I had to fill up. No complaints! I will gladly rent again if I have the chance.
Eben was very friendly and punctual! He picked us up right where he said he would and when he said he would. I was unsure where to go and was kind of stressed, as I was traveling with 3 young children. Eben gave me all the details I needed ahead of time, before my trip began, which gave me one less thing to worry about. Eben was great at communicating where he was and when he would be arriving.
The car was great! It was clean and reliable. It did great in the Denver area and was also great in Silverthorne/Breckenridge area. (There were just a few streets with icy spots, chains were not required while we were in the mountain area. This car may not be your best bet for snow/chain required conditions, but, it was perfect for mostly clear roads with mild, some ice/snow)
When I'm in the Denver area again, I'll definitely look Eben up! He made this experience (I'm a first time Turo user, which is also kind of stressful!), a great one! Thanks, Eben!!

Eben was a very nice guy; however, the details for pick-up and delivery was not stated to me in advance. It was quite an inconvenience. Eben picked me up about 30 minutes late from the airport curbside. Come to realize we had to drive to a different parking lot, D.I.A. Parking to retrieve the vehicle. It was snowing, icy, etc. in Denver that weekend. The car didn't have an ice scraper. The vehicle itself was fine, it was as-described. Unfortunately the huge inconvenience and a bit of heartache, was upon return. It was very very difficult to navigate back to the D.I.A. Parking Lot in the cold, on the icy roads, and in the dark. I am a huge user of Google Maps, navigation systems, etc., and it simply couldn't find the location! I had to call D.I.A. several times and directions over the phone were still sketchy. Almost an hour later, I finally arrived. Then, I had to wait for the shuttle to take me back to the airport. The shuttle was a bit slow as well. As it was the Thanksgiving holiday, the security lines were outrageously long and almost out the door. I allotted myself an extra 2 hours for this car drop off portion and I was still almost late for my flight! I was very disappointed on the drop off portion. In the future, Eben (and others) should specifically disclose the details in advance regarding the pick up, car location, drop off situation, shuttle, etc. Thank you.
