Trips a week or longer I offer free delivery but will need to be picked up and dropped off at my location, 30min/lax 15min/LBC AND SNA airports if that isn't possible we can just resort to original delivery fee. Additionally if your delivery is scheduled between the hours of 7-10 am or 2-7pm there will be an additional $20 charge for traffic. Jeremy was wonderful when he starts communicating with me right before my trip start. The car was functional without a hitch. I am happy with the experience. He did let me know up front if I want to be picked up free, I actually have to drop him off at his home otherwise, I owe him $20 for coming to Long Beach airport because his wife needed to be there to drive him back home. I am tired of the trip so $20 is still not a bad deal. Then he told me the car has to be washed and clean when I rented it for a week otherwise I have to pay another $20. Last time, I rent the Turo, I did not have to pay for the cleanup. He did say it up front so there is no surprise. However, I wish that these small detail can be more up front on his website for the car so I won't be expecting to the response it when I am tired.
The car is pretty old but he fixed it up very well. I did not experience any problem as the other drivers did. However, he told me the engine light is on because the gas cap is leaking. It is a small fix, If I were Jeremy, I will replace the gas cap and reset the error code before I lent out the car again. Having the engine light on during the trip did give me a little worry. The air bag on the passenger side does not work. This I can accept because the car is 11 years old and has 111k miles on it. The exterior of the car has a little damage like normal use but when I get the car, he did not have detail mention or pictures to indicate the dents or the rub off paint like my previous Turo experience. I wonder if Jeremy will think I cause it. Lastly, the price is not the cheapest. Both of my $19 per day has a better shape car than Jeremy but they bailed out before I can rent it. Jeremy will be my backup when I cannot find another else.
The process of renting from Jeremy was easy and convenient. He was very friendly and flexible regarding our pickup and return. The car itself was great on gas, clean and reliable. I would definitely recommend renting from Jeremy!
This had to be the most disappointing experience I've ever had. Mind you, I've only used Turo twice (this being my second time renting). I rented the car for 8 days. Sunday, June 30th to Sunday, August 6th. When I picked up the car Jeremy was not there. The car was sitting on the street across from the house. I called him & he gave me directions on where to find the keys (which were super easy to find). Now the car was pretty dirty when I picked it up. I hadn't left his house yet when I turned on the car and the engine light was on. I sent Jeremy a message and he proceeded to tell me that everything was fine and that his mechanic told him it was a smog issue. Ok Cool. Everything was good Monday & Tuesday. Wednesday is when all hell broke loose. The car wouldn't start. I tried to get in contact with Jeremy, no luck...so I proceeded to call Turo customer support. They ended up sending a tow truck to my location so that they could jump the car. After some time, the car came on and the alarm started going off immediately. The tow truck guy proceeded to tell me that the car had an "off market alarm" and that I should get a replacement car or get my money back. About an hour after the tow truck left, the car would not start again. Jeremy finally sent me a message back stating that the alarm was the problem and "we needed was the remote to disengage the alarm or the car won't let you drive it" he basically wanted us to get a jump and drive the car 25 miles to his house so we could swap it out for a PT cruiser. That alone is a ridiculous request. Anyone would use their common sense to know that the car would most likely stop again on the way to his house. So with my safety in mind I decided against that and called Turo again. They sent another tow truck to my location to tow the car to a mechanic and have it checked out. The mechanic let me know that the car alarm was draining the battery. He kept the car overnight and the next morning another mechanic took a look at the car and explained the exact same problem. So not not only the owner, but three other people have checked and said that the same thing was wrong with the car. So at this point, I was three and basically just wanted my money back for the days I didn't drive the car. Jermey called after all this speculating and making false accusations towards me and I felt was just plain rude. Turo has been giving me the run around but I think we are finally striving to bring this to an end so I can get my refund. This has been the most horrible Turo experience and I'm not sure if I will be able to recommend or use this service again.
The car is beat up and runs really rough. the car is not balanced and shakes pulling the car to the left when driving 65 on the freeway. I never met the owner he left the car on a dark street with the key under the car. I was running late and informed him by text 2 times but he still called customer support acting as if he was not contacted by me. This resulted in my privileges being suspended pending an internal review....ridiculous. I was 51 minutes late and now I am walking home tonight once I drop off the car I have now....believe me, I will not be late.
