Rented his 911 for 5 days, except there was no car or person at the designated pickup spot. Called owner, who said car was in the shop. Owner wouldn't cancel the trip and release me from the transaction, so I couldn't rent another car from another owner. Ruined my trip. I was scammed by this guy, no doubt. Beware!
Once in a lifetime experience! I rented the Porsche 911 Carrera S from Patrick for the weekend to take my girlfriend out for a drive out to the Coast for the weekend. I picked up the vehicle on Friday night from SFO and met up with some guy friends before heading back home. On my way home, the CHP decided to pulled me over and gave me a breathalyzer twice which I supposedly failed at 0.088 and 0.09 with their field machine. I only had a few drinks over the course of 4-5 hrs, and it was 2 hrs since I had my last one, so I thought I was cleared. They pulled me over for “swerving”. I was checking for navigation on my phone which probably cause them to start tailing me. After I knew they were tailing me, I tried crossing lanes back and forth to get out of their way, but they continued on till they turn on their lights and pulled me over. This was the first time in my life that I was pulled over for drinking. They impounded the vehicle, and I spent the night in county jail. The next morning, I called Patrick and told him the situation. Patrick was more than understanding and allowed me to continue with the rental for the weekend. I went to pick up the car the next day at the tow yard, paid the tow fees, and was able to pick up the car the next day with the help of Patrick. I was able to spend the next couple of days out with my girlfriend incident free. Patrick was very easy to work with and was a totally cool dude. If given the chance, I would rent from him again! (Of course, after I get my case settled). Thanks Patrick!
