The first pic is the car as it was when I acquired it - only then discovering that it is the most common model and color EVER in the history of cars! After parking in between two copies of my own vehicle, I endeavored to put my own stamp on this vehicle - hence the vinyl decals, carbon fiber grille and antenna, tinted windows, gecko mascot on dashboard, pirate sticker on rear bumper, TRD badges (Toyota Racing Development), and finally...(pics coming soon…),…alloy wheels and road-hugging tires for the feel of it.
Consistent with my own slow-lower-tech philosophy of life, this car has crank windows, manual locks (remember those?), and a mere single CD-playing AM/FM radio. In a capitulation to the march of progress, it does have an automatic transmission, and I have at long last installed a phone holder/charger that connects into the lighter for your and my own convenience. Just had a tune-up, transmission and radiator servicing at Putnam Toyota in Burlingame. My car rocks.
