Save on gas with this hybrid-electric Volt. You can get over ~40 miles on just electricity or up to 300 miles with a combination of electricity and gas. Rides great and has all the amenities. Tinted windows keeps the CA sun out. I like to drive it in Sport mode for nice acceleration and in the L mode for more aggressive motor braking (and battery charging).
If you hate the Silicon Valley gridlock, this Volt has the HOV access stickers so you can ride in the carpool lane (and smile when passing all the cars stuck in our freeway parking lots).
I try to accommodate all interested parties and can usually meet at agreed upon locations. I can throw my eBike in the trunk and ride home or to work from our drop-off point. Please let me know if you're fairly tall (> 6' 3"?) as I've heard my Wink mirror might get in the way and impede line-of-sight. I can swap in the OEM mirror if desired.
Thanks for looking at my Turo and let's make this happen! Just click that purple button.
I'm not sure if this works, but if you're new to Turn, you can get $25 off your first ride (plus I think I get the same): https://turo.com/c/steveo73
2014 Chevrolet VoltSteve's Chevy Volt15516
Great car. Great guy. Great experience. Given the opportunity, I will rent from Steve again in the future.
Communication with Steve was a pleasure, we needed to change our booking time and Steve was the most helpful and flexible.
Car was reliable and easy to drive. I would recommend Volt to everyone with just one exception and that is people who are over 6 feet 2, Steve's rearview mirror was blocking the view a bit.
To sum it up, is was easy 5/5.
Steve was great and we appreciated his patience and understanding. His Chevy VOLT allowed us to use only two gallons of gas to go nearly two hundred miles! There was a free Level 2 EVSE a ten minute walk from our hotel in Santa Cruz. When Steve has a Tesla, hopefully we'll be able to rent it from him on Turo. We didn't quite get a Tesla to materialize for this trip.
If you're over six feet tall, you may need to slouch when driving or ask Steve for a workaround for his low and long rear view mirror.
Great to experience the Volt and be educated in hybrid usage, in general. Steve was available to talk to when I had an issue with a public charger, and I appreciated his ability to communicate and plan, too, when it was time to return the car. Loved my week in the HOV lane!
