This Volvo V50 wagon is a great car for long hauls or if you have to do an apartment move or IKEA run. And who in San Francisco doesn't? In fact, we bought this car in Sweden, took it out for a spin on the roads of Goteberg, and ended up doing a few donuts in the parking lot of the IKEA mother ship. We resisted the urge to buy a Lack shelf and simply came home with the car :)
Now about the car: The back seats fold down, so the car fits an extraordinary amount of stuff. We have even fit a double dresser in the back. Also, it's a Volvo, which means it's safe. There are dings and scratches on the outside and some stains and tears on the seat covers -- all signs of character, IMHO.
We also have two small doggies, who enjoy using the car for rides to the park. Of course, we generally drive. The point is, if you're allergic to dogs, this car is probably not for you.
The car offers a smooth, solid ride and has very good gas mileage. Recently serviced and has new tires.
NOTE TO POTENTIAL RENTERS: I generally respond very quickly to requests ... when I'm awake, that is. However, when they come in at, say, 5 am, giving me an hour to respond, you will not receive a reply. Just saying.

Young Mi and Tim were fantastic. When I needed a car at the last minute on Thanksgiving day, they responded quickly and were flexible with drop-off and pick-up times; not to mention being super-friendly.
The car is clean and runs great. The only thing to note is that they have a dog, so there's a bit of dog hair on the seats. Not much, and they keep it clean and fresh smelling too, but for those of you who are allergic, it's a good thing to know about. Oh and they let me use their FasTrak, which made it easy to cross the Golden Gate Bridge - yay!
