This a a fully electric eGolf (not hybrid, no gas at all) with Navigation, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, and Hands-Free Bluetooth phone calls and music playback. It's got plenty of range for most day trips.
The e-Golf uses no petrol fuel/gas at all. Under normal driving conditions you'll get about 70-90 miles in the city between battery charges, and 60-70 on open highway if you stay under 65 MPH.
I've gotten about 90 miles on Highway 1, as that's practically city driving: I made it from a campsite at Salt Point to Fairfax, and only had to charge for 25 minutes in Fairfax to have enough juice to get back to SF.
If you're going wine tasting, you just need to drive to a winery that has a charger, and charge up while you do the tasting.
It takes about 3.5 hours to charge the car from a nearly drained battery at a Level 1 charger (the most common) and about 15 hours overnight to charge a drained battery at a standard electrical outlet with the included power supply (At home, at a campsite, etc)
There are also "level 2" chargers around, which charge the car much faster, but they are hard to find.
I have a ChargePoint card that you just tap and go to charge with. Other charging networks are useful as well, but you'll just have to create your own account to use those.
-> Airport runs
-> East bay day trips
-> Marin day trips
-> Costco trips
-> Grocery trips
Garaged close to Balboa Park BART Station, and lots of MUNI Train and bus lines. Happy to pick you up and drop you off from any nearby transit stop within 0.5 miles.
It's fine to return the car with less than a full battery: reimbursement is $6.50 to charge the car after I return it. Reimbursement is also expected for any ChargePoint activity and FasTrak bridge tolls.

Car was great, really smooth drive. Mark was really nice. Only issue was the limitation of the 85 mile range.
