First of all, Nikola did a great support, even on a early saturday morning!!
But the car is really old and very used. For me it was a good solution, but at the end I thought a lot about price and product...the price is quite high for this car, but at least it almost doesen't burn fuel.
Overall, Nikola is fair and quick with answering!
Clear and timely communication from Nikola. Car drove well. It's not the newest vehicle - dings and scratches inside and out. But perfectly acceptable for a weekend. One thing to consider is that there's no USB port in the car from what we could find which makes charging your phone on a long trip challenging.
Nikola was very responsive. The car worked great for my trip, though the outside wasn't very clean. I did have some trouble locating the car as it was parked a few blocks away from the location listed, but Nikola was communicative to help me find it though it did take about 20 minutes. There is only an 1/8" auxiliary jack to connect a phone, no USB and bluetooth only works for calls. Luckily I had a cable that I could use for my trip. Be sure to bring one if you want to connect a phone to the stereo. Overall satisfied, would rent again.
The car smelled horrible inside. It was also hard to communicate with the owner, I called him several times prior to renting the car per his advise but he never picked up. HI only realized later that the car was already unlocked which was strange as I was expecting him to let me know that on the phone. He only picked up when I returned the car.
The car handles well, but I wouldn't recommend because of the smell inside and uncertainty with the communication.
Terrible experience. This isn't even the car i ended up getting. When I showed up there was a smart car. Which was too small for our trip. Also the car was not in the correct location. There was also glass in the car everywhere. Apparently he has a few cars, and can't keep track of them very well.
Nicola's Prius was a pleasure to drive. Handled well, seamless pick up and drop off. A couple of additions (like a USB charger or aux cable) could take it to the next level! but that is a minor comment on an overall great experience
The car is okay but I rent way better car on Turo for not much more money. Music installation doesn't work properly, we could only use radio and even this sometimes we couldn't manage sound easily. When you have long drive, music is an important criteria for me. Also, I didn't like the communication with Nikola, not really friendly and we have been able to communicate through texts only which is sometimes not the easiest and simplest way with lot of things to do to get the car. I enjoyed a lot my last booking with Turo but this one could have been better.
We had some miscommunications in the beginning of the trip, but it was able to be worked out within 10 minutes. The car was just what I needed. It was clean and easy to pick up and drop off. Nikola was easy to communicate with.
I'm from out of town and first time using Turo so I'm new to this experience of car sharing. Also just used Uber for the first time and it blew us away at the convenience and ease of use so our experience with turo is largely influenced by that. We chose this listing because of MPG and vicinity. Found it a little difficult to obtain said car because it was not at the address listed but a block down. Overall car cleanliness was satisfactory 3/5, found an orange peel in the air vent and the carpet was stained and slightly spotty. Ride overall went well! Car drove well, no problems using it at all. Gas mileage is a fantastic deal! We used almost 125 miles, and paid only $10 for gas!! When returning the car, there were absolutely no Parking spots available. Took us about 45 mins to find a parking spot that was at least a 5 min walking distance from original location. I contacted owner and he said it was ok to park there!! Thumbs up for that!! Overall positive experience using turo
Like many other people reviewing this rental, we had a bad experience. We’ve been unable to find the car keys after the owner had remotely unlocked the car. The owner explained that the previous driver misplaced them, but after reporting the issue to Turo, we learned that the previous renter experienced the exact same issue. So we had to spend 3 days without being able to lock the car, and being constantly afraid to be locked in or locked out of the car at any time, not even mentioning being afraid of car theft. On top of that, the car was dirty, and the 'maintenance requested’ sign visible on the dashboard. Obviously, this is a car that is not well taken care off and as a result the experience offered to renters, pretty lousy and irresponsible on many levels.
The Prius is a great car with amazing has miliage, and Nikola is a polite host. However I did have a problem finding the key and was unable to lock the car due to that. The previous renter didn't seem to follow instructions and didn't leave the key where instructed to. They also left a bit of a mess in the car. If it wasn't for the key the experience would have been great.
Except for the gas tank not being full when I picked up, everything else was great. Would use again.

This 2006 Prius is in good working condition, and works well as a basic car to get you from point A to point B. Nothing fancy, interior and exterior condition is okay and normal for the age of the car. Car gets about 45mpg which is nice, and pickup/dropoff was a breeze (owner can remote unlock the car for you). Overall, if you need a car that works, and an easy car pickup/dropoff experience, I'd highly recommend it.
Absolutely horrible!!!! Do not rent this car! Not worth the cheap price. The owner did not communicate on the day-of despite calls/texts from me and through Turo customer support. Extremely dirty both on the inside and outside. The volume control does not work at all so your music is either blasting or nothing. The ONLY time Nikola communicated throughout the whole trip was when I requested an extension at 9:05pm (even though I had paid the DAILY rate starting at 9:00am). At precisely 9:30p on the dot (when the car was supposed to be returned) was the extension denied. How convenient! Had major problems filling up the car with gas. The gas gauge would not show that it was full no matter how much gas I put in. I didn't know what else to do so I just returned it with the $20 of gas I had put in (for a 60 mile round trip!!!!) even though the gague STILL didn't show full. Then when I went to return the car, I couldn't get the car to lock. Of course, Nikola wouldn't respond then either. Absolute worst experience. Would NEVER rent this car again in a million years.
I was a little confused with pickup instructions at first (owner wanted me to text pics to him but Turo also wanted me to upload pics), but once I figured it out, I was good to go, and still so much easier than a traditional rental car! Easy pick up and Nikola was available immediately when I needed to have it opened. Car was a tad dirty but not too bad. It drove very smoothly and was extremely gas-efficient. I would definitely use this car again. I very much appreciated being able to borrow the car and use it for a fun day trip at a great rate...thanks Nikola!
After getting caught in traffic and calling the owner to let him know I'd be an hour late, he said that it was fine as long as I got it back in time for his next pick up....which I did. The next day I get hit with a $50 late fee which he refuses to remove. The rental was only $38 a day, but being a hour late with notification prior he still felt the need to collect $50 from me when I still got the car back in time for his next renter. This guy made me never want to use Turo again.
