Super fun BMW Z3! Dedicated Parking! In manual transmission, black leather interior and a convertible top. USB adapter to charge your phone. AUX input and cable for your audio! Heated seats. Car shows some wear and tear, like worn paint on the hood. But this car runs like a champ! Roof tends to leak in the rain, please try to avoid renting if you forecast rain. Awesome MPG! 91 octane, Premium Fuel required.
Please do not rent this car if you cannot drive a stick.
If you're looking for a cheaper way to get into the city to pick up the car, I can provide you with a $10 UBER driving credit for free! Best and fastest way into the city. Must be first time UBER riders.
1997 BMW Z3007's BMW Z3154.537
Pretty convenient and cheap rental.
Car was easy to pickup and drop off.
The car itself was really nice to drive but it's from 1995 so not at all in perfect condition, which is still Okay but quite unexpected when you look at the picture.
The car was perfect for me and my wife. If you are needy or high maintenance, this car is not for you as it does have some miles and wear and tear. But if you are about the ride, and ability to get from point A to point B with the top down - this is your car. Still could benefit from some new speakers. I would rent it again for sure.
I had a great week with David's Z3. This BMW is in exceptional running condition, very smooth ride and very fun and beautiful car with the top down! A few of the issues mentioned earlier that I had a few comments/suggestions for. The subwoofer is blown but my work-around was to fade all the sound to the front, not much bass but no blown sounds either :) and the second is the peeling paint on the hood, unfortunately it doesn't help the looks of the car but look at his prices ($25 a day for a week) if fixed, he should be charging double for this James Bond 007 Z! Thanks again David, I will be buying one as a result of this relayride!
It's such a hoot driving this older BMW convertable. It's clear that he takes great mechanical care of the car...great tires...no CEL, just pure N/A 4 cylinder fun on the CA roads. Easy to find, easy guy to work with...I'd take it again in a heartbeat. Thanks!
David was very prompt and open with communication, he is always available to answer any questions, very easy going. The Z3 is in good mechanical condition, no issues whatsoever, very fun to drive especially with the top down. There are some wear and tear, such as paint peeling on the hood of car and front fender, and could use a new subwoofer as well. Otherwise, it was a blast to drive. Thank you, David!
Excellent and super fast communication! Specially for a lastminute request. David provided all the necessary details and was available to answer any questions. Can't beat driving a convertible on a sunny day, even if its not that new :)
Car was fantastic for our trip to the Bay Area! The engine, transmission, and steering are great and very rewarding to drive. David dropped the car off at SFO for us and let us return it to the Columbus street location. We visited Napa and Sonoma, San Francisco, and Monterey and the car performed like a champ! It could probably use a new coat of paint but all that doesn't matter when you've got the top down driving along the beach curves of Highway 1 or rolling hills of Sonoma Valley. The trunk will fit 2 carry-on luggages and a small messenger bag.
Overall a clean, fun, and well maintained car, with easy pickup/dropoff and a nice owner that communicates well. 10/10 would rent again :)
David was super easy going and very helpful. The car does have a little wear and tear but that 6 cylinder BMW engine runs so smooth. Great to bop around on a beautiful day with the top down too! Overall, I had a great experience.
Great little car here, true roadster in the vein of the Miata, Alfa Romeo Spider etc. Can feel the miles in the car a bit, but it's quite solid. Never missed a beat in the three top-down days I drove the Z3 down Highway 1 and around Muir Woods.. Very punctual and helpful owner as well.
David was very easy to work with and responded quickly to messages and texts both before and during my use of his car. The hood of the convertible was a bit leaky, and of course it was raining during our whole trip - however, David warned us of the leak and gave explicit instructions about how to apply tape to the weather stripping to minimize the leak. It was a very minor inconvenience. Overall, this car met my needs and was a fun ride for all 77 miles we drove it!
Visited San Fran for four days with a friend. Had to have a drop top with the great weather and David's was perfect. David was a great guy, dropped off the car for us at the airport and picked it up at the end of our reservation. Car runs excellent, everything works perfectly. Gas mileage depends on how and where you drive it (San Fran has a lot of hills! overall we got 23MPG, could have gotten more). Has a mount for smart phones, an aux jack and audio cable, and a USB plug in charger. Top is manual but easy to open and close. Seats are heated. Trunk is very small so be sure to pack light. It can fit 2 carry on's and maybe 2 bags or backpacks. And of course, it's a 2 seater and manual transmission! Overall, it was excellent and exceeded our expectations. Thanks again to David, would not hesitant to rent again when we go back to San Francisco!
