Have you ever wanted to drive a convertible sports car for the weekend, under sunny skies and warm summer nights? This BMW Z3 is one of the purest rear-wheel-drive roadsters ever built - with a powerful, perfectly balanced inline-6 engine to match.
The car has also been recently updated with an iPod/iPhone-enabled sound system and a brand-new, perfectly clear rear window.

Had a fantastic time with the car. At this price point you cannot go wrong with a Z3. When driving the care, you will think the car is significantly newer and more powerful than the facts would suggest.
My wife and I had a three day trip in San Francisco and had the pleasure of spending it in Robert's Z3. I'm a BMW enthusiast (my current daily driver is an M3) so I was really looking for a BMW convertible with a manual transmission for our trip. Robert's Z3 was very well maintained. Clutch and gearbox were smooth, tires fresh, car clean. Communication was great. Would gladly rent from Robert again!
Rob's Z3 was the perfect convertible ride for a day trip up to Sonoma. My wife and I used the car for our anniversary trip, and it was great to have such a well presented swanky car to flit around wine country in when we have to leave our normal rides at home.
Rob communicated proactively about the pick-up and return (someone else was renting the car right after us) and even the street parking was no problem.
Am interested in getting a 2001/2002 Z3 so I drove Robert's Z3 for a day to get a better idea on what they are about. We took it up to Sonoma...the car is well maintained and drove great, I would rent it again for sure. The pickup and drop off couldn't have been easier too. The 2001 Z3 was the year BMW put it all together, just an excellent setup!!
Fun and zippy car for the long weekend. I'd never used this service b4 so was surprised the car was dusty and needed an external wash. Inside was clean, though, and a bonus that I could plug the iphone right in for charging and music. Other than giving it a wash, and a bit of a mis-communication about the time of pickup (Robert did get back to me quickly when I texted him), it was a good experience. The engine has tons of pick up and the car is so little it's super fun to drive.
Once again, a great experience! Picked up the car from the SF location, if you're coming from the airport, public transport is slow and you may want to take a cab here and budget for that against corporate rental options. I noticed that the back window that another user reported as foggy had been replaced with a brand new one. The clutch was more responsive this time. Rob was accommodating and friendly despite my request for a late return.
What a fun car to drive! Robert was very response and friendly. The car was clean. I would def. rent again. My recommendation is rent it when you can have the top down. The back window of the convertible is a little foggy and hard to see out of. Otherwise, it was a blast.
I've spent a little over a month with this car this summer and I'm sure you'll like it as much as I did. Rob's great to rent from because he's responsive, easy to plan around and keeps the car in great shape. The car drives really well as I mentioned in my previous review. For those who care, the car is moderately fuel efficient at 22 mpg. The speakers sound great even with the top off on a highway. In the last few weeks, I drove the Z3 on the hills off highway 1 near Mill Valley. The trees partially shade the road and you can feel the car hugging the curves. Now I'm thinking of ways to convince Rob to sell me this car when I move back to the bay area next year -- this review might help.
It's an excellent car. I used it mostly for commuting to work but also took the car up for a trip to San Francisco. You'll have to appreciate two things about the car -- the acceleration and the control. Especially if you like driving on 280 with its several curves like I do, you'll enjoy how well the steering handles and how tightly it responds.
