Awesome car and Gordon was great.
You're paying $17 a day. What do you honestly expect it to be, a luxury sedan? Heater, AC, radio and car work great. If that's all you need or less then look no further.
I wasn't going to leave a review, but after finding no one at the vehicle location and no instructions prior to the rental or at the location itself, followed by several harassing phone calls/texts, I feel the owner has brought this upon himself by leaving one for me. Let's get this straight. I told him that I was flexible with the terms of picking up and dropping off the car since it was a holiday. This was my first time using Turo, and likely my last, since I have not received a response from customer service, nor a refund as of yet. Gordon did not reply to my offer to pick up the car when it was most convenient for him. He did not leave me any instructions as to where the keys were. He did not leave a note on the front door. He did not leave a note on or in the car. He simply took off and expected me to "find" the key. Having worked in the vehicle rental industry for several years, I would never advise anyone to simply take off with a car without doing a thorough inspection, noting any discrepancies or damage. This car seems to have some past incident with a rather poor paint job, and while you get what you pay for, someone who's renting out his 10 year old jalopy should expect to allow the customer to do a walk-around and note any prior damage. The fact that he did not allow for this is a major red flag. He was under no obligation to accept the rental. By doing so, it was his responsibility to communicate with the customer, which he did not.
I will be asking for the BBB to look into this, and to remove Gordon's review. As far as I'm concerned, he can go on acting as he does without concern for customers all he wants. And BTW, Gordon, your number's blocked. When someone says "stop calling", please take that advice.
Trip went well, Kia Spectra runs very well. Besides the headlights being too dull to see clearly at night, everything else was great. Personally I would've also liked to have an auxiliary for music streaming. Thank you Gordon.
