Easy to drive, super easy to park - great for getting around the East Bay or SF for errands and more. Enough storage for groceries and more plus one other person. Clean, fresh, and fun! And, of course, great mileage - about 40 mpg in city driving, and up to 50 on the freeway!
Walking distance from Emeryville Amtrak station, and Emery-go-round free shuttle from Macarthur BART drops off a few blocks away on Hollis Street too.
Bonuses: Includes miniUSB charger and an AUX jack for audio, can use car pool lanes with only 2 people, optional FasTrak electronic toll available for trips to the city or across the bridges.
Also includes first aid emergency kit and back pack, just in case.
Bikeriders: Secure storage available for your bike too. ;)

Larry was a pleasure to deal with - very responsive and helpful, and the car got the job done in style.
Pick up and drop off was very easy. I never met Larry in person but he was quick and responsive. The car is truly a gas saver. When we picked up the car, it was a bit dirty, but thats not really an issue for us. Everything was great and we enjoyed the cute little car. I will rent again with Larry
Great little car! Nic was very nice (and absolutely love his dog Karma)! Took it on Easter weekend to Santa Rosa to visit friends/family. They got a kick out of it! Everyone wanted to sit in it. On a side note...use caution when you turn the signal on, sometimes you can accidentally get the car to switch from an automatic to a manual. But Nic was really awesome about letting me know that in advance and it was a no brainer to adjust if it happens. Ask him how to open the trunk too. Overall had a great (first time) experience with Turo! :-)
Although did not get to meet Larry, well coordinated and got the job done. Much appreciated on such short notice of a rental. Mahalo nui loa o Larry a hui hou.

Considering I reserved this car the night before Christmas Day, Larry was very fast in accepting the reservation and communicating the details, despite his being out of town. Although picking up was delayed and returning was more cumbersome due to having to communicate with his various different housemates, his housemate drove all the way back from SF to hand me the key and was very responsive via phone! Despite being a small car, the Smartcar drove smoothly and fast on the freeway-I didn't quite ever figure out how to open the trunk but Larry was kind enough to leave ample cargo space in the back.
I coordinate with Nic, Larry's roommate, and he was so great! Helpful, nice, and super responsive. Though not the best highway cars, Smartcars get the best gas mileage ever, so it's totally worth it. Thanks, guys!
