I learned some things by renting this car. These cars are cheap because they're awful. One of the brake lights in this car is out, which I didn't realize until I was dropping it off. Someone needs to be in charge of checking your cars between rentals. The drivers side armrest is broken and stabs you in the side. The worst thing about renting this particular car is that there is no designated parking spot for returns. After driving around the neighborhood forever looking for unmetered street parking in downtown Oakland, I called the owner who was pretty rude about me asking where she would suggest I look for parking. I finally found a spot, parked and went to the airport. Then I find out that the park spot I chose was a street parking zone the day after my return, and I was charged $66 for parking there. She could've mentioned this when I was on the phone with her saying I'm having a hard time finding parking. Instead she was rude AF. Don't rent from this person, and probs just don't rent a Fiat- they are great for parking, but are smaller than most people's blind spots, and people almost drive into you far more often than any other car I've driven. Too many close calls. Safety ratings are high, but so is the likelihood that you'll need it.
Trip started out a little rough, as Tamara had an emergency that made her late in releasing the car to me, but otherwise she was great to work with and very responsive. The car was zippy and great for scooting around town. Would rent again.
Tamara is super sweet! This was my first trip with Turo and Tamara made it super easy even with her being temporarily away for the last minute rental. My partner and I had to make a trip to Napa and she set up the key handoff with her room mate no problems... Super sweet we live down the street and we are looking forward to getting to know her and driving her sweet little fiat! It's a go go type of car and is brand new! Thanks Tamara! R&D
