This is a beautiful midnight blue 2005 Porsche 911 Carrera S with 6-speed manual, a gorgeous tan full leather interior, the Sport Chrono Plus package, 19" Turbo wheels, power seats with memory, sunroof. The engine delivers 355hp and a very satisfying growl. Switch to Sport mode to tighten the suspensions, greatly improve throttle response and make that growl even more satisfying! The engine only has 36k miles and delivers full power.
This car is the same year and model as featured in this Top Gear video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qNwNMgT-adc (fast forward to minute 4 to skip all his trash talk on the standard Carreras:). I have owned many cars in my life including faster cars (Corvette Z06 for example) but none of these cars came close to the absolute driving perfection of the Carrera S. It is a fast car but also a real pleasure to drive and very easy to drive fast. It is very comfortable yet very sporty and quick. For the best experience, I recommend turning Sport mode on and THEN turning PASM off (basically press Sport then press the button left of it afterwards). This way you get the best performance and impressions without the sport-tuned suspensions which honestly are meant for the track.
I upgraded the car stereo head unit so that it has hands-free bluetooth, HD radio, streaming through Bluetooth and Carplay. If you connect your iPhone, you can use all the applications such as maps for example for navigation or Spotify for music. The car has the upgraded Porsche Bose amp and speakers.
This car is regularly maintained at Red Line Service, a Porsche independent shop run by the technical director of the Los Angeles chapter of the Porsche Club of America and ex-Formula 1 mechanic. It is in top condition and just got new rear tires installed!
I will only consider drivers that have rented at least one car through Turo and that are at least 30 years old. There are no scratches or dings on the car and the interior is in very good condition so I expect to find the car in the same condition when I get it back. Please do not park it on the street unless you have a safe parking spot (no bumper to bumper parking in Venice Beach for example please!). Also, it goes without saying but don't track it. I have never tracked it myself so I obviously don't want others to do it. The car is equipped with a system that will relay to me all driving data including engine warnings, acceleration data, braking data, etc... It's fine to drive it fast, just don't overdo it. Mostly avoid killing my new tires and shifting down into high rpms as this can permanently damage the engine. Also if you use memory seats, please use Settings 2 or 3.
Please don't hesitate to ping me if you have any questions about the car!
