The owner of the car is extremely unprofessional and immature. The first thing that happened was the site somehow changed my pickup location from lax to his place. This change was an hour plus out of my way. He obviously didn't look at the booking when he confirmed it knowing that I was getting picked up at LAX change was made the day before when I added the insurance so it doesn't make sense why he would've already decided he couldn't come get me there. Original booking was 10 days prior. Also he made a big deal how he wouldn't have a ride back I found out he lied and Turo valet at LAX would have given him an uber home. ! I noticed this the day before and contacted him. He told me that it was impossible and he couldn't meet me at lax and gave me quite a hard time about it. I told him that I would have to take an Uber to his house and it was way out of my way as it was and we agreed-upon him giving me $40 for an Uber. My friend is an Uber driver so I paid him to pick me up at the airport which I have a receipt for. The same day I picked up the car I asked if we could talk on the phone because I have some questions cause where I'm going there was no cell service or texting available or Internet. He said absolutely not !! he does not talk in the phone and he refused to do so he said no customer ever wants to speak on the phone only text and he will refuse to make phone calls !!!! ?!? So unprofessional not to mention it takes an hour for him respond even one text and I don't have that kind of time to waste on something that could be solved in a two minute conversation on the phone. that doesn't make any sense to me and we got a humongous argument over this This is absolutely no way to do business is very unprofessional and extremely immature. I never even met him in person as his mom was the one who gave the car without taking photos up front . After our text argument that we had and me not getting any answers regarding the vehicle I didn't hear from him again. A couple days later the car stalled going into a parking garage and I called him immediately to tell him there was something wrong he told me that I was some stupid girl who doesn't know anything about cars and if the indicator light isn't on then there's nothing wrong with the car. Anyone with common sense would know that that is ridiculous and if a car stalls for no reason there's obviously something wrong. He refused to talk about this on the phone with me as well and then decided to call turo and complain about the $40 he gave me telling me I need to give it back to him saying he lost money cause my friend who drives uber picked me up. (I am allowed to know uber drivers and be friends with them and like I said I have a receipt for the $40 I gave him ) regardless it was an inconvenience for me and that issue shouldn't have even came up !!!! It was an $800 booking for God sake !!! This was all a big huge problem Turo did not handle it properly either. I tried to call and complain about this issue and they keep transferring me I was on the phone for five hours and they wasted an entire day over nonsense!!!!!! this car obviously has some serious transmission problems. Don't rent!! You will regret it!!!
Had a great birthday surprise trip with my boyfriend. The car added that little extra something. Chris was flexible and easy to communicate with. Would highly reccomend renting this car for something fun and flashy!!
