First off he acts like he will be there to meet you then send out someone else to give you the key. Then, the cars service light comes on and I make arraignments to return it right away and he acts again like he will be there and then last second sends his mother out who inspects the car and states all looks good. Because it is pouring rain none of my pics of outside of car were any good and he takes pictures 26 hours later and claims I damaged his car. I never hit anything with his car and why wait 26 hours to take pictures? If there was damage and there was not why wait so long? I have rented many cars through Turo, even expensive sports cars, like the Porsche 911, and have never had any issues like this! Renter be careful and demand a signed paper stating no damage. I never have had anyone try to blame me for something like this but I know I never hit anything and when I parked the car it had no damage but no one at Turo is even following their rules of 24 hours. How could the damage have been reported if the pictures were not even taken for 26 hours.
Christian's Honda is a great zippy hybrid that packs some power and is a lot of fun to drive. It definitely attracts some attention with its sharp sporty looks. The hybrid engine and 5-speed manual transmission enable one to achieve some excellent mileage, always a plus. Good for your wallet and the planet. Be sure to note that it's a two passenger vehicle - there is not really a backseat. The trunk was roomy enough, holding two rolling suitcases easily. Christian was very communicative, and arranging pick up and drop off was super smooth.
Christian is cool. Very flexible as far as when to pick up and drop off the car. The car itself is well kept. Packs a little punch for being a hybrid. Very fun car to get around in. Would definitely recommend to others.
If you are going to LA, rent from Chris. He's a gentlemen and a scholar. I had a tight timeframe and he accommodated me in every sense of the word. a He made me feel like an old friend. BTW fun car that sips gas.
This was my first experience with Turo and if all renters are like Christian and I will definitely continue to use this awesome service! Christian was right there to meet me at the arrivals at LAX right when I walked out the doors. He handed over his keys, gave me a few quick tips, and I was off. The entire exchange was less than 2 minutes. Absolutely beats waiting in line for a rental. The car was clean, fully gassed, and so much fun to drive around LA. We were supposed to return the car to Christian at 11p and had a last minute invitation from friends. Christian was so accommodating to our request to return the car a few hits late and even waited until our Uber arrived to make sure we made it back to our hotel safely. If you're thinking about Turo and renting from Christian, don't hesitate another minute!
Christian was great to work with. It was a last minute booking, yet he was phenomenal at making it work despite my rather difficult timelines. Pickup and drop-off were a breeze, and I even requested a separate drop-off location which helped me out immensely with my trip. Awesome guy to work with!
