This car has been freshly cleaned with a full gas tank. Please pickup and clean out the car prior to your return, I may have a renter pickup the car right after you return the car. If the car needs to be vacuumed, please do so. If you don't feel like vacuuming it's best not to eat in the car. The car needs to be returned as received. There will be a charge for sand, mud and pet hair. This is how I keep my rates low.

Car was perfect and in great condition. Thanks Vanessa!!
Our experience with Vanessa was excellent. Since this was our first time using TURO, we had lots of questions, and Vanessa was so helpful. She answered all our questions and was prompt with pick up and drop off with car. Car was spotless. We would definitely use Vanessa again.
2 stars for Vanessa. 4 stars for Turo customer support, specifically Chuck.
A week after I booked a Kia, Vanessa said that due to unforeseen circumstances the Kia was unavailable and I had to be rebooked to a Ford Focus. Thankfully, she reduced the price to match my first booking. I appreciated that and her free delivery. Unfortunately, this car had a lot of stains on the interior and dents/scratches on the exterior.
When I met her to pick up the car, I handed her my New Hampshire driver's license for her to verify. She told me "Since this doesn't have the words 'Driver's License', it's not valid or a real license". First of all, NH licenses are the hardest to fake and although it didn't have those words on it, it has 'operator' on it, the DMV's signature on it and scannable bar codes. I have already validated my license through the Turo website. She googled NH licenses, which showed the new version which looks like mine and the old version which does have the words 'Drivers License' and she only believes that that's the correct license. She claimed that she called the police to ask if it's valid and they said a license isn't valid unless it has the words 'driver's license' on it as well. She said the only way to validate it would be to get Turo on the phone to tell her it's validated, but I don't know why she couldn't also try calling as well. I had to be on hold with Turo customer support for almost an hour (which is why I took off a star), while I was on hold she decided to drive off without telling me why. I called her and she just kept giving me an attitude saying that my license isn't valid.
I finally got on the phone with customer support, told them my situation and was transferred to Chuck. He was very apologetic and told Vanessa my license was valid and that she would return within 15 mins. He refunded me 1 day of the rental and gave me a $5 Starbucks gift card for the frustration. I let him know that I'm very apprehensive to use Turo again after this experience and he added a $50 credit on my account, which covered my drop off location fee at LAX. I really appreciated that, thank you Chuck.
Back to Vanessa, she showed up almost 30 minutes later, not 15. She didn't apologize once for her costly mistake and lack of empathy. I was supposed to start driving to San Diego around 12pm but because of this idiotic debacle I didn't leave until 3pm and was stuck in 5 hours of traffic from LA, thanks to her. She also gave me her car with 3/4ths of a tank after she drove off and back. I returned the car with that same amount of gas she left me with and she had the audacity to charge me for it. I notified Chuck again and he handled it gracefully so that I wouldn't have to pay her any more money that I should.
This is a warning for those of you who don't have a license with the words 'Driver's License' on it, apparently it's not real!
