How do I pick up and drop off?
Be sure to review the owner email instructions. DO NOT take the shuttle to Turo as the car will not be there.
Please upload an image of your license to trip photos or text me at (760) BEST-CAR (237-8227) with it before the start of your reservation. This is needed to prove identity. The exact location will be texted afterwards.
Please share your location in the Turo app while you are on the way so I may guide you to the cars location. Once you see the vehicle, text the code in the reservation confirmation email to unlock. Follow the reverse to return. Walk around the car and take photos of all four sides plus close ups of any damage you see plus the dashboard showing the fuel level and total mileage. Upload them to the trip photos and notify me when complete. Do the same at the end of the trip plus include any photos for gas receipts. Express wash will be reimbursed. This is required for record keeping. DO NOT lock the car upon returning as it breaks the remote system! Please enjoy!

What are some tips and tricks?
Here is a introduction just in case you are new to electric cars. I have a few pointers to help you on your electric journey. The level 1 charging cable can be found in the trunk and can be plugged into any 110v, 3-prong wall outlet. The EV can be charged in several hours form 0% on a 240v, level 2 charger. They are found free to use at various dealerships. If you have a smartphone, you can also download an app called Plugshare and it will also help you locate all the charging locations. Also download an app called Chargepoint and Blink. Create an account through the app or website. You can then use it to start charging when at one of their stations. I try to keep the EV fully charged, but circumstances do vary. Thank you for your understanding ahead of time.
Tips for extending range.
1. Leave AC off. Leave windows cracked open if hot.
2. Drive on highway no faster than 60mph.
3. Use cruise control in the slow lane.
4. Do not accelerate fast. Be gradual with the pedal and lift off early to use regenerate braking.
5. Draft behind larger vehicles like big rigs and SUV's.
Skye was great. The car did not get nearly enough mileage between charges. Maybe about 35miles on freeway before beesing to recharge. DO NOT USE FOR LONG DISTANCE TRIPS. Great for cruising around the city
Skye was super easy to communicate with. We wanted to extend our trip and he allowed us to keep the car even though someone else wanted to rent the car. When we returned the car we accidentally forgot the key in our pocket. We had already arrived at the airport. Skye waited for us to return the key to the car and then offered to give us a ride back to the airport so we didn't miss our flight. What a nice guy! :)

Once I figured out the pick up location ( with Skye's prompt help) it was smooth sailing. The car has some dents and scratches but it was perfectly fine and acceptable for my first electric car experience. He provided a Lyft code from LAX to the car location. It is right next to the Enterprise car pick up and drop of center so I just hopped on their shuttle to get back to LAX. Make sure your are aware of the car's range (60 Miles) so you are fully charged for your trip everyday. He has a plug in charger in the trunk so it is easy if you are in an area where a charging station is hard to find. His instructions are complete and thorough so read the FAQ and he is quick to reply to a text.
So first of all I have to say, overall it was a good experience. It was our first time renting an electrical vehicle and it took us some time to figure everything out. Communication was really easy and Skye answered all of my messages quickly. Pick up and drop off was on point. But: When we got in the vehicle, we found the inside to be filthy and with a strange smell. We spent our first 15 minutes cleaning and sanitizing everything. Whoever got the car after us: You're welcome! One of the break lights isn't working and something is wrong with the axis, so I constantly had to counter steer. If you're planning on driving around a lot and doesn't want to spend hours charging your car, you'd better get a regular car. One day it took us forever to find a charging station and we ended up paying for valet parking in a Marriott Hotel, where they charged it for us. It was nice to have a small car in LA, that was convenient.
This was my first experience with Turo and I am so happy I rented from Skye! Skye was communicative, very responsive to questions, and helped me through some of the bumps in the road. Unfortunately, my bag was stolen from the conference I was attending and the key to Skye's Fiat was in the bag. Skye happened to be in my area and had a spare key. He was so kind to pick me up, and drop me off at the garage where the Fiat was parked and give me the spare key. What a guy!!
Skye might be the only reason I will still use Turo. AMy first three experiences on Turo didn't go so well. The renters either flaked siting excuses why they couldn't rent the car during the times that they made available, or the cars weren't actually available. So after booking 3 cars I actually never even got in one until finally I found Skye's cars. He has this down to a very convenient and efficient system. I wish Turo would just model the entire user experience after Skye. They would be way more successful. Anyways, can't say enough. Remote unlock and lock on the car so you don't have to meet in person. Car was in great shape. He was accommodating, polite, and dropping off was super simple.
If you get the opportunity, Rent one of Skye's cars. It will save you a headache!
Do not rent this car if your time is valuable to you. First of all be prepared to walk around the airport to find this thing hidden in one of the Burger King lots. It was not clean, it had damage to body and one of the wheels as well, so it was shaking and rattling as it went, but worst of all was the fact that it is a Full Electric and only has charge to go 80 miles, after that you will need to look for charge stations somewhere around town and will need to download apps and waste at least 2-3 hours getting it charged. I got stuck with it half way to my destination and had to rent another car from Alamo for less than what I paid for this wreck. Worst experience ever and owner refused to issue even a partial refund even though car was returned early and early return was confirmed. 👎🏻👎🏻
This car is great to commute to and from work and or if you have access to level 2 charge ports! Pretty smooth ride for an electric car. Skye was very easy going to communicate with and answered plenty of my questions!
Car was dirtier than expected on the inside/outside and has a significant amount of body damage. Aside from that the car was fun to drive and there were no problems. Some people complain the car does not hold a charge, but this seems to be the people that don't understand that heat/AC will drain the battery almost more than driving itself. Also it is worth noting that if the battery is at 100% it seems to drop fast to 90%, but from there it does a good job of holding a charge. Do yourself a favor and crack the windows and only park in the shade to avoid using AC. I was able to drive the car for ~6hr on a full charge around LA and there are there are no shortage of chargers around the city that are free to use.
Skye is a professional, topped with a touch amiable kindess. Always available and quick to respond with assistance. Though my experience with electric cars was not so great, having the comfort of knowing help from a live person was just a text away made the bad experience much better. Definitely will be renting from him again.

There is a small dent on the driver side front fender, and a few scratches on the paint. However the car looks pretty good.
I did not have any issues with charging the vehicle.
This car will do level 2 and level 1 charging (cable included).
I had ZERO issues with the battery, not sure why the other renter mentioned the battery not holding a charge.
I think it might have been that it just takes significantly longer to charge after 95% due to the charge current being ramped down as the voltage nears the charge cut off.
You will find that with most, if not all electric vehicles will only charge to just below 100%. That final few percent does more harm than good, as it stresses the battery.
However, that final 5% of battery is not a very significant range increase and it's really not necessary to waste time charging after 95%.
The car was dirty when I picked it up. It is okay car, but I would not rent it again. I picked up the car almost 3 hours later scheduled time and took advantage of the easy pick up/drop off option. I washed and charged the car. However, I was running late to drop it off and kept the owner informed of my eta. The opener still charged me $100 late fee after the car was returned. He could have offered me an option to extend my rental or at least give me heads up on the upcoming charge. There are a lot of similar cars on turo and I don't recommend renting a car from Skye.
This was my first time trying Turo and it was fun! This little car is great really responsive. The only thing is I'm not used to all electric cars so I got worried about running out of charge and trying to find places to charge a few times. I drive quite a bit miles so I think maybe a hybrid would better suited to me for next time. This car would be great for running around lil errands etc. though. Overall I'm glad to have got to use Skye's Fiat 500e! ^-^ Thanks Skye!
Had a great experience with this ride. Pick up / drop off was smooth and way the car rides is even smoother. One more smoothe star goes to Skye - he was really helpful along the way, as it was my friend EV experience and had a couple questions. Really simple and straight forward to drive and charge though. Hope to get to take it out again!
Car wasn't clean when I rented and was more of an inconvenience than help. I spent more time charging it than driving and the owner has trouble communicating consistently. Then I was charged a late fee because I couldn't get the car back in time do to the fact I had to spend 3 hours charging it, I spoke with the owner concerning the situation, we agreed I would keep it for another day and it was ok. Instead he charged me 225$ late fee. Talk about a scam. Would never rent this car or from this person again. Never had a bad experience with Turo until now.
This was a great car for the LA area. It was nice to have an electric vehicle so I didn't have to worry about the gas, and I could use the carpool lane in the nasty LA traffic. The only reason I'm giving the experience 4 vs 5 stars is because there wasn't a good place near the drop off location where I could recharge the car to the same percentage I received it at.
It was a little difficult finding the parking for the car because I actually had to go on the enterprise shuttle bus and ally to the bus attendant telling them that I had a reservation for enterprise getting off the bus I have to walk a block on to some restaurant where the car is actually parked. This was very uncomfortable for me as first I did not want to lie to anyone regarding my rental car and second coming back after I drop the car off at night the area is not the best and it was a little scary walking back to enterprise. The car itself was also a little dirty on the inside which I didn't appreciate but other than that it drove great and the car so it was really good
Skye was very helpful and concise with his instructions. It was my first time driving an electric car and would definitely recommend it to people! After all, you are helping our world stay carbon free as possible !

Skye's communication is excellent he's very responsive and helpful. The EV just wasn't for me just be sure your trip is not a long one it's more of a car used to run little errands around town I totally did not take that into account when booking for my trip hopefully it's what your looking for if your going to go electronic Skye is definitely your guy 👍🚗🍃🍃
What a stinkin' cute car! The ride and size was great. Skye is so positive and helpful with EV information especially when I was struggling with the learning curve of how to charge an electrical car. I would definitely reorder from Skye again in the future because of his services, but probably not an EV car. It just didn't work for my long commute. I found it's more useful for "zipping around" running errands in short distances and such.
Note to new EV users: I had a little trouble learning the first day with an EV car on the first day of a new job in a new city. Do your homework and take advantage of Skye's help. He really lives up to his "electrical concierge" name!
Starting with the owner of this vehicle Skye he was very understanding and made my trip a lot easier. The Fiat 500e was in perfect condition, I didn't spend a penny on charging it and I definitely recommend anyone who is looking for a great deal to get with Skye and make it happen.

The car was great, clean and makes me consider buying one. The drop off and pick up was as easy as a rental car. Skye was really easy to communicate with and responded within minutes of any question. I'd recommend this car for anyone traveling less than 70 miles or has some time for charging.
And the bonus is the car has car pool stickers which makes LA driving much easier.
I just turned the car back over to Skye and I'm sad to see it go. It is a great car. I was using it this week to drive to and from work (I could drive in the carpool lane with it), and I could not have been happier. It has great pick up and I never worried about running out of battery. Skye was great, delivered and picked up the car right to my door. Looked up my drive to work and was spot on about how much charge I would use. He replied immediately to any question prior to renting. Great car, great owner. Thanks Skye!
