Gonzalo was good with communication. Responded quickly and made the process easy. I was a bit dissapointed that he did not include the "free airport pickup / drop off" feature that was advertised on his listing. I picked up the car in Venice ($15 uber ride - each way = extra $30). 2 of the tires were very low and I had to fill them the day after pick up. Gonzalo's vehicle was as described and it is an older vehicle, so some wear and tear should be expected. But some specifics should be noted; During my rental, the key fob to automatically unlock did not work - Not a biggie but a little inconvenient. If I wanted to get something from the passenger side I needed to remember to unlock from the driver door first. (There's no key hole on passenger door). Also, the after market stereo worked well enough but had a lot of weird errors and a VERY long cable running out of it and under the driver seat. The interior could benefit from a upholstery shampoo. It had a lot of large stains. Also the back breaks were squeaking a bit and I think the car needed a bit of a tune-up.
Why I gave 4 stars - Gonzalo was easy to communicate with, and where else can you rent a convertible (OF ANY CONDITION) for $280 for a week!!!!? It's a hell of a deal. It's an older vehicle, but it runs! I got a really affordable 4 seater convertible and I got to drive down the PCH with the top down! Easy, and Cheap! I would rent again. But I suggest a tune up Gonzalo! :)
The car was great to use for my holiday in Santa Monica for a week! It was parked noticeable right in front of the address. Gonzalo is considerate guy who is easy to contact anytime. Great experience. * Since i was told that i can drive 1000 miles included i didn't know we should've refill the gas. You who use Turo should know that you should refill the amount of the gas you used even though it sounds like you can drive 1000 miles for free... haha
