The vehicle was unveiled in 2012 Geneva Motor Show. and went on sale in Europe in September 2012.
First vehicle using the flexible modular Volkswagen Group MQB platform, the third generation is available as a three-door hatchback, a five-door "Sportback", a four-door saloon to directly rival the Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class, and a two-door Cabriolet.
The front suspension is a MacPherson strut set-up while the rear utilizes multi-link rear suspension.

Early German models include 1.4 TFSI (122 PS), 1.8 TFSI (180 PS), and 2.0 TDI (150 PS). 1.2 TFSI (105 PS), 1.4 TFSI (140 PS), 1.8 TFSI quattro (180 PS), 1.6 TDI (105 PS), and 2.0 TDI quattro (150 PS) were added in 2013.
A3 1.2 TFSI (105 PS) was added to the UK market in 2013, followed by A3 1.4 TFSI (140 PS) in 2013.
The new A3 cabriolet model is available from 2014.

Be sure to review the owner email instructions. DO NOT take the shuttle to Turo as the car will not be there.
Please upload an image of your license to trip photos or text me at (760) BEST-CAR (237-8227) with it before the start of your reservation. This is needed to prove identity. The exact location will be texted afterwards.
Please share your location in the Turo app while you are on the way so I may guide you to the cars location. Once you see the vehicle, text the code in the reservation confirmation email to unlock. Follow the reverse to return. Walk around the car and take photos of all four sides plus close ups of any damage you see plus the dashboard showing the fuel level and total mileage. Upload them to the trip photos and notify me when complete. Do the same at the end of the trip plus include any photos for gas receipts. Express wash will be reimbursed. This is required for record keeping. DO NOT lock the car upon returning as it breaks the remote system! Please enjoy!

Overall the car was good. It drove well and got great gas mileage. A couple things of note: the car is parked near the rental car area not at the airport. You have to take a rental car shuttle there, as the Uber/lyft codes that the owner sends are only if you've never signed up for them before. Upon arrival, the car was really dirty. We immediately stopped at a car wash nearby and vacuumed and washed it. Overall, if the price is good I think it's fine. If this was my first Turo experience, I would have been extremely underwhelmed/confused.
Overall the experience was satisfactory but the car had sand and was a little dirty. I had to go get the car myself since this company works with a keyless entry to the car. The car drove smooth and worked well however
The car was filthy dirty, full of empty dirty food containers and dirty napkins. I had to spend money on getting a car wash. Communication was poor and at the time it felt like Skye had an attitude. Also the maintenance light was on and well as the warning for oil change.
Pick up and drop off was confusing and felt very sketchy. Never met a person. Car was not clean and smelled bad when I picked it up. I am old fashioned and prefer to conduct business in person. Not via text message. Almost missed my flight because drop off instructions were so confusing.
He listed the car's location as LAX but it wasnt at the LAX Turo parking lot but rather street parked so I had to uber to get to the car so it was very inconvenient. Car wasnt as clean as I expected. As soon as I started driving, engine oil service light came on and also TMP light went off too.
We talked beforehand that I was going to return the car earlier than planned and he okayed it but I couldnt get a hold of him on the day I was supposed to return the car and I missed my flight because of it. He didnt apologize or anything but told me he worked late the night before and thats all he said. Very rude and ignorant. Never renting his car again. You can get so much better with the money you pay.
Fantastic experience renting Skye's/Carxotic's Audi 3 this past weekend. The car is well maintained and handles very well with great acceleration. The pickup and drop off logistics were easy and straightforward and Skye was a pleasure to communicate with. I would definitely rent this car from them again. Highly recommended.
