The transaction went great, the communication was great and the car was good too. The only thing that was bad was the windshield wipers from the vehicle, they were terrible, wrong size so they were hitting the hood and making a very annoying sound plus they had grease so the water hitting the car made it horrible to drive in the rain. Overall I loved it and I would go for it again.
I rented a car from January 23-26 and opted for the airport transportation option. We were picked up from the airport by a gentleman named Dorion who claimed he was 1 of 4 partners of this company. He took pictures of the vehicle for us because there was a rain storm and told us we can wait inside the vehicle while he takes the photos. He assured us that he would send us the photos. He never did On the day that we had to return the car to the drop off location, we were told that someone would take us to the airport. The evening prior to leaving we texted Dorion asking for the address to drop off the car. He did not answer. We then texted Ekaterina, she answered us late. She called an uber to drop us to the airport. We rushed to get to our terminal on time. The day after we receive an email from Turo that they claimed there were damages to the car. Worried and confused, I texted Ekaterina she did not respond to me. I texted Dorion and he assured us via text messages that it must be a misunderstanding and as long as we uploaded our photos on the day of the departure indicating no damages , everything would be ok. I get a phone call from the real owner named eldor who advises me that Dorion is not an owner he is just an employee and that he was actually the one who reported "said" damages after he took the car to a car wash and the windshield cracked. The owner claims that the cracked windshield is our fault and told us damages would be 700-800$ because it has happened with many customers of his that a rock hits their window while driving and they don't notice it, but once Dorion takes it to the car wash, the pressure and the water immediately cracks the windshield. Do not rent from this company, this was our first experience with Turo and we can only hope that Turo support will protect us as renters that followed all of the necessary steps to protect ourselves. Beware of companies like this on Turo!
